I’ve seen too many high performers impacted by RIF over the past two years. You can give it your all and they will still axe you despite doing exactly what you are asked to. No one is safe.
Don’t give this company all your time and energy. In 20 years the only people who will remember that you worked late are your kids.
Based post, Come in the min required RTO days. Do what you can in the time you spend in your cube/desk. Go home, disconnect and the repeat until your RIF'd or Move on to greener pastures.
No such thing as loyalty. Yet We are required to give at least a 2 weeks notice before quitting.
Just saw someone who was a very solid employee who recently got promoted within the last year RIFed too. Like what? If performance actually mattered you'd find another place in the organization for someone like that..
