I left the company months ago after 10+ years and I must say I wish I left sooner. You don’t know how awful that place is while you’re there because you pacify yourself thinking about the benefits and culture, muse on here and tell yourself you’re not alone. You tell yourself the grass isn’t greener on the other side. But I can honestly say it is. When you have an opportunity to leave, RUN! My life has improved greatly and the folks I’ve spoken to who have left since me all say the same. I pulled this page up by accident in my browser and see things have gotten worse since I left. Get out folks.

Ever since we moved to Accenture, I have noticed that the workloads for the employees left at TIAA have increased not decreased. Shipping all these recordkeeping jobs off shore has not lightened workloads. In fact, there seem to be more errors, delays, less efficiency, and the business knowledge is not there.
Sadly I had no choice but to leave after 20 years. Former Denver employee was not offered relocation. But I was able to find a job after a relatively short search considering this market. It is fully remote and I'm making 30k more with better work life balance. Actual PTO days to use versus be gaslight into taking "unlimited" ones.
Definitely greener in just about every way but employer pension % is lower and bonus is probably 10k less so almost a wash when it comes to being greener in my bank account/retirement accounts.
Only thing I miss from TIAA is my colleagues both those laid off in Denver and the ones that are still there probably stuck doing work of 4+ people in this dumpster fire of a sinking ship.
Eh, I guess it depends on the person and department. My department has declined, but not enough for me to jump ship quite yet - getting close though. I know some folks that have left and come back - from Vanguard and LPL. Pay wasn’t as good, and every company has its drama. Granted, the drama here is pretty bad. lol
The grass is so green that here you are hanging out on TIAA’s boards.
Looking at the reactions, we have a evenly split crowd.
I still work at TIAA and do have recruiters come to me about once a month. However the offers are to low or to impactful on my personal life. In my opinion, the grass isn't always greener and it will depend on the pay and benifits they will or can offer.
