They hire smart people, put them in roles they're not qualified for, and wonder why nothing works. That's PepsiCo for you.

for diversity. Management will make easy money for hiring/promoting people based on age, gender, race, s-xuality and nepotism status. The person is smart, yeah? The only qualification you need. Root canal? Go ahead, do it! Brain surgery? Go ahead, do it! Launch people into space? Sure, why not. Who needs experienced, qualified persons in these roles. Our work is not as complex, is it?
Everyone is suffering the consequences of these decision choices. Are there any leaders who care about the work not getting done because of people’s lack of knowledge to do the job?
Certainly depends on the role, but Intelligence is not a substitution for deep technical knowledge.
Just look at the ESL responses here, they are not hiring smart people, they get cheap indian slave labor. There's your answer, you're infested with low IQ streetshytters
Yeah right - PepsiCo is legendary for its comprehensive training …. (Also known as being responsible for your OLD role and trying to grasp your new job for at least two quarters while nothing is being done regarding a backfill )

@br . I disagree. If you don’t have the skills / competency / functional knowledge - there is very little likelihood you will succeed .
Would you have an intelligent plumber perform root- canal surgery on you ?

If you are intelligent , you should be able to handle a role when you don’t have experience .
Perhaps leadership su-ks
