This is the d-mbest requirement ever with no visibility. I was doing 7 hours for the last year and never got a warning. My computer was acting wonky one day and I think it must not have connected to the network correctly and the next week was told my average dropped to under 7 and needed to be 8. Hard to confirm manager couldn't explain and ridiculous you can't see the data and how they are tracking so you can dispute if the data seems wrong.
You will get at least one warning with a corrective action if HR pulls the metrics and forces it on your managers. Not sure how much the managers have say so. Maybe a lot. Just do what you want and know you should gat a warning before the ax. You probably wont but i do know last year bonus % were reduced as a result
You really should stop believing their lies, because that's what they are. Shart doesn't ever want you in the office again. 0 days per week, 0 hours per day is his actual goal. 3/8 is just one means he's using of getting there for less money (saved sev costs when people quit).

the enterprise standard is "a full day = 8 hours on average". You can find it on teamworks in the "our workplace" section.
If you are averaging under 5 you will get spoken to, warned, dinged, etc -
over 5 but not 8 - different business units have different standards about where they "enforce"
So, they told us all to work a "full day" in the office and stipulated that meant 8 hours. And here we go again with people trying to game the system. Let's all remember that it was the coffee badging group that flouted the 3 day requirement and triggered this monitoring of hours. How about, just do your job and stop trying to figure out what's the least you can do to look productive?

@a6 Ah Ekene, nothing drives peak innovation quite like a tyrant with a stopwatch. Because treating brilliant professionals like hall-pass violators is definitely a sign of strong leadership, not total panic.
In CAO/COO it’s 8.0. Anything short of 8 and you’re getting a talk and then and IM rating, and then laid off. Happens all the time

I had heard it used to be 4 but now it’s somewhere between 6-7. I think they leave it obscure on purpose
