Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

I still hate this bank

I left almost a year ago, but the anger stayed. Thinking about the years I gave them still makes me want to vomit.

Same, same. I’ve been gone for a bit but still come back to this site to understand what’s happening, and hope the rest of the org has turned a corner.

Same. I was laid off earlier this year, but the PTSD still lingers. I am beyond cynical in my new job because of my experience at US Bank. I’m happy to be out of there of course, but I can’t even take a compliment in my new job without thinking someone has ulterior motives because of all the snakes I encountered at the bank. Will be happy when the company is a very distant memory.

I am still here and hate it here. Just buying my time till retirement.

I hate how our leaders make us feel worthless and an expenses to be dumped for cheaper wages in India.

My new attitude is to do just enough to not get fired.

No point in putting in effort because we will all be replaced by cheaper employees in India

@OP I completely understand why the anger can linger. Giving years of yourself to a company and walking away feeling hurt or betrayed doesn't just disappear because you've moved on. But I hope you know that leaving was the beginning of something better, not the end of your story. You took your experience, your skills, and your value with you — they didn't get to keep those. I hope with time the anger takes up less space and the life you've built afterward takes up more. Wishing you nothing but better things ahead. ❤️

Me too. Laid off a year and a half ago, now a year at a great new job, but for some reason keep coming back to this page.

Hate it too! I get the Sunday dread every week. I love my team and the work itself isn't the problem. My leader is toxic. I've been trying to get out but the market is tough. Glad you got it! Hope I can say the same soon.
