A union representing city employees has filed a lawsuit alleging the city illegally kept six Police Accountability Board workers in vulnerable positions. The AFSCME lawsuit claims Rochester failed to provide required civil service exams for these roles. This omission allegedly left the workers susceptible to layoffs, which subsequently occurred last spring. The union is seeking the reinstatement of these six individuals. The petition was filed in Monroe County Supreme Court.
