How understaffed is your team due to recent cut. Nobody on my team is doing under 50hr/wk. This is not sustainable.

Only a fool would work more than 40 hours per week at Oracle. There is nothing to be gained like a raise or promotion. You are just a sitting duck waiting to get RIF. Oracle wants to FAFO with RIFs. Let them. If there is remaining work to be done after reaching 40 hours per week leave it. Not your problem. Leadership has made choices.
Act your wage. Regardless of how many hours you work, there's always going to be too much still to do tomorrow.

You need to learn to set your expectations lower. After all, this is what you signed up for when you decided to pursue a career in tech.

I’ve quite quit. If I make it through I will continue to do 8 hours a day and exactly what my role entails- nothing more
Do less not more. The results are going to be the same you may get fired for doing more or less. It simply does not matter!
Agree with the others. Don't work extra to cover over unmitigated greed from our senior "leaders".
They get what they get, with the staffing level they chose and the rest can wait.
@OP Only work your contracted hours. It's not your fault that there aren't enough folks to handle the workload.
Every team is understaffed. But why are you working 50 hours a week? No amount of hard work is gonna save you long-term. Clock in your standard hours and nothing more. There hasn’t been a focal in a long time. Most tech jobs these days don’t pay enough for 50-hour weeks.
every line of business is understaffed now...and it will get worse. While Ellison hopes you will become so desperate to keep your job that you'll create a process, improve one of his products, or fill the job gaps with something that YOU'VE CREATED ON YOUR OWN with AI so that he can make money off of it....and on the backend while he steals your healthcare information and biometrics to make more money.....In truth his actions have and will continue to have people do the least work to still get paid ...... contrary to his popular beliefs, everyone below the 1% is not his slave or indentured servant.
