@b6 Cost of Living is 25% less in the KC metro area. Moving from Bellevue/WA to KC with the same salary, you'd live like a king. Which is exactly what Srini thinks he is.

All the right-wingers on here spreading rumors that T-Mobile is packing up and leaving Bellevue are just plain wrong. There are teams being centralized in different offices. Bellevue is centralizing certain teams and other team members are being told to relocate to Bellevue over other offices. Peeps need to stop spreading rumors to scare everyone into thinking our jobs leaving. It’s a big company. We have more than one office.
And those of you posting on here saying “well I know someone told me this is happening” seriously need to STFU. I can tell you personally don’t know sh-t.
Ha, that’s weird. I remember Sweeney saying layoffs were over in Q1. It’s almost like they’re not being honest with us.
@aj MSC is just a bunch of back office functions like HR, payroll, etc. You have to keep it very simple for people in Overland Park.
@ae Bellevue for years was called the "Field Service Center", not the headquarters, because, the thought went, HQ was to be of service to the field.
"Magenta Service Center", in Overland Park, must be to serve the Magenta Brand rather than the employees in the field (sort of why all the layoffs are happening).
This is a hint and a half (especially with the complete closure of the Canyon Pointe facility in Bothell) that Big Magenta HQ is on the move to Kansas. Told you so.

Of note They are closing 6 brick and mortar Stores and closing the Canyon Pointe office in Bothell. Also effected are the Bellingham call center and a number of remote employees.
Also of note, the letter comes from "Magenta Service Center" in Overland Park. We used to call the Bellevue Headquarters "Field Service Center". Looks like HQ is truckin' it's way to Kansas.
