We heard that Focal is happening in September. Anyone heard anything, or do you think they’ll announce it after another round of layoffs? 😅

Early October
My understanding is that FOCALs are the review process and not the compensation adjustment process, and that few would get raises every year. Also, you were never told that you didn't get a raise or RSUs. You would see the calendar roll over into October and you would know that you got passed over, again.
I know a guy who works for Big Chem as a supply chain guy. He gets raises and bonuses like clockwork every year, even when profits are down. He tells me that everyone in his department gets raises and bonuses and was surprised when I told him that they are rare in most of the tech field, especially in smaller firms.
When people are emptying out their desks, do you run around the office asking when raises will be announced?
@moderator you should stop this person posting stupid questions day after day. Track the IP address and block it at the root.
@OP Even before the annual review my manager told me not to expect focal this year.
Not everyone eligible for foculs. It's depends on how much budget your manager is allocated ect.
You are wasting your time by posting stupid questions here. Rather you should concentrate your time finding a new job.
First, focal is never officially announced
Because not everyone is got promoted or increased salary
I heard that in some departments, managers are asked to submit top performers and bottom performers list, so it is likely to happen and of course after rif completion
I asked my manager who didn't have anything to share on focal yet
No focals. It’s RIF O’clock!
