Hearing rumors of a EISP again today.Is it true has there been talk with the union ??

Nothing enhanced it’s just $50,000 bonus plus $2200 a year up to max 40 years .Its great for anyone looking to leave but not a game changer for others .No clue on field titles or locations or numbers .It maybe across the board we will see soon

Like the other poster said . In my area also line guys are everywhere. Even with builds not enough to keep them all occupied. Some has no clue on that deal .
@dc unfortunately this is mostly inside people cwa 1000 so Ibew is field osp and they don’t have any info as of now
No longer a rumor. Targeting mostly OSP roles and clerks at least in our general area. May be different elsewhere. Received email from the union today. Appears inside roles are untouched.
@a1 very odd that they didn’t post the numbers titles and locations along side the EISP offer announcement as they usually do in the past
@cz Pretty sure there is a pretty big world outside your construction garage. Different areas have different needs, so pretty foolish to not believe other places will have a surplus.

I find that hard to believe. My GWC the line guys are virtually stepping on each other. Way to many here. 6 are new hires
@OP Confirmed. Line will have the lowest surplus. As they may have a” wish” list for those looking to go into line gang. And most likely hiring more linemen.
@OP every local has something on their websites and Facebook pages if applicable, why would look for info here instead of checking there or asking anyone from you local?

Packages will be distributed to employees beginning August 28, 2026. The volunteer period will begin on September 3, 2026, and end on October 2, 2026. Volunteers whose Special EISP applications are accepted will have an off-payroll date of October 11, 2026.

@OP Why don’t you call your union and ask instead of throwing rumors out on here? Then you could have posted , “ I spoke with my union ,blah blah blah”.

They would have to have it in the mail for 3rd quarter, someone told me same rumor also.

What I did hear was the offer was to all titles but Line Men. No word on location, titles and how many are surplus. But off the books in October. 2,200 / 50,000
LOL We will see if anything shows up in mail box next week.
