If there are layoffs it seems the pattern is that they occur in September or October. Always right before the holiday season.

It is typical to have layoffs at conversion+90 days and during the 4th quarter when financial projections are due. Both will be happening this year, so I would expect a small layoff in late September. There is redundancy from the merger and they will want to balance the books.
