If there are layoffs it seems the pattern is that they occur in September or October. Always right before the holiday season.
Layoffs??
Has anyone heard of any layoffs ahead or are things still quiet?
RTO not being enforced by Management
Is anyone’s office Management not enforcing RTO 5 days a week? My office, people come and go, no one ever works a full day, and bosses still let people work from home whenever they need to. Meanwhile I am in there everyday working a full day, full... — read more
This is ki-ling morale
Having to waste more than two hours on commute is certainly not making me more productive. What it is making me is resentful and slow and absolutely unwilling to go the extra mile, something I used to do all the time. I'm betting you RTO will turn... — read more
TSR missing?
Anyone notice the TSRs are hidden until later this week? Who wants to bet the earlier promise of adjusting our salaries up if we were below the ranges goes away?
Time for a Sit Out! Tech All Hands was the final straw!
Part of the American dream is to get a job and earn an income. In reality this job is costing me more than the income can provide because of a RTO policy that the executives can’t even bother to acknowledge a single question about. (Remember the Q&A... — read more
😂😂😂 DO NOT COMPLY
😂😂😂😂 no one is on my floor today. It is so empty! I am going home now - guess I missed the memo that RTO is optional. DO NOT COMPLY! Bill’s gonna cry!
RTO losses
Anyone have any anecdotal information on people leaving due to RTO. I know a few people that have but nothing outside my business line.
September reorg announcement
Heard through the grapevine that there is going to be some kind of announcement in September regarding a reorg. Anyone have any more details?
Technology All hands
Is anyone going in person to the technology all hands going to ask the tough questions?
Stock grants for Principal Engineers
Does principal engineers get stock grants at PNC? My recruiter said i will be getting but nothing mentioned on offer letter. Confused if i should join PNC.
Mid Year Raise this year? Pls bill
Do you think u there’s any chance of a mid year raise this year? I got one around this time last year and was shocked.. maybe because I was way below the old TSR minimum. I doubt it.. but man we have been doing so much and endured so much BS this... — read more
Where can we give feedback on the new ServiceNow?
I don't know who got the fat bonus for deploying this unusable software straight to production, but seeing as we can't spend any time doing actual work, where do we go to complain about this?
And here come the displacements
When the strategy is "do more with less," somehow it's always the people doing the work who end up doing less... because they no longer have a job. Another round of collections and IT displacements. The folks who kept systems running, helped... — read more
On a positive note…
I do have to say that I am grateful that PNC let us work from home if we used the Parkway East. I would be so drained by the time I got to work and got home. You’re talking probably at least an extra two hours commute time plus spending more money... — read more
Accommodation denied even though many on my team work remote…
Those who work remote have the same title and job duties, but the rejection said “after reviewing your job responsibilities, we’ve decided we cannot accommodate remote work at this time.” I submitted with a doctor’s note explaining the condition and... — read more
Town hall Q&A admin is removing questions in real time!
Questions are posted and the admin marks them "ANSWERED" yet they are never answered and are ultimately removed from the queue. This is why we have trust issues.
Executive silence doesn’t last forever. Annual town hall is tomorrow. It’s time for answers.
Post your questions here so we can reference them if we actually get a Q&A session. Although I have my doubts because the stars and planets have to align first before execs even think about providing answers. Maybe just maybe the tone deaf executives... — read more
Layoffs?
Any impending news lately or are things still quiet?
Don’t do it
Managers are independently, checking coworkers addresses so I would not work from home for a month if you are not impacted. That is just my suggestion.
Half of my team gets to WFH for the next month
And the rest of us are stuck paying +$200 a month in parking/commuting fees and losing dozens of hours of personal time The way PNC is handling everything right now is fu--ing absymal. I didn't think it was possible for the morale to get any lower... — read more
Whats the dress code for RTO?
I was hired during pandemic and never been to office. Whats the dress code here? Business Casual or Strictly business formal??
VERINT DPA?
What’s the real reason for the desktop tracking? I can’t help but think there’s more to it than “streamlining processes” for us. I’m concerned they are trying to pinpoint idle employees or something. Anyone have insight on this
Its very very quiet...
Ahh yes, let the silence and content cover you like a warm blanket. Not much chatter about folks not going into the office.... Not much chatter about anything really. When its this quiet, you should be worried. Cuts are coming. A rather large wave... — read more
I felt this was an appropriate place to share this article regarding remote work. I think anyone working for PNC would probably agree with it.

More layoffs are inevitable
We all know more cuts are coming. But I'm looking at other companies and they're all in the same shape. I'd leave if I could find somewhere better, but I can't. And the stress of all this is really taking a toll on me physically. I honest to goodness... — read more
Are we deciding as a whole to scale back on days yet?
Groups are scaling back on 5 days, is this happening in other areas? 2-3 days is enough
Your Truist Friends Have Questions about Mike Lyons

2nd Wave of RTO
The June 15th rollout of RTO has occurred. Check your workday profile. Looks like this batch (so far) included about 400 people out of the 4500+ in PA that work remotely still. But don't worry, you will soon be replaced by the remote offshore... — read more

Not many people have quit so far
At least not that I know of. If the whole ploy of being forced back into the offices to thin out the workforce (we all know that's the real reason) doesn't work out, are we looking at another major round sometime soon? How long are they going to wait... — read more

How is MF Housing Capital? Just got an offer to work on the off balance sheet side of the biz.
How is it to work in this group? How is career advancement? thanks. Also, is 8 hours in office the actual expectation?
