Swell. So if I understand this correctly, US employees who just learned of their termination today get to see their health insurance go poof! at midnight.
I mean, really? No lead time at all, no chance to plan for other coverage? Wow.
They could have timed this any way they pleased. Makes you wonder why they chose to do it this way, doesn’t it?
In France, it continues for 12 months after the "reclassement" ends, so 21 to 24 months after the termination notice.
in the US, it is the end of the same month as your termination date, unless they offer to pay your cobra premium
