Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Never been part of a dreary and dismal company like Dell

The stock is soaring. You’d expect the attitude to be high energy and people to be in full support of the company. You’d expect to see new products going to market, more hiring, more bonuses, more investment in people. You’d want free thinking people who are inventing and thinking outside the box.

It’s the exact opposite. It’s dreary, dismal and there is an overall black cloud across the company. Every email seems like it could be your last. Services are taken away from you, like coffee cups (really??), promotions to the “liked” and layoffs are happening left and right. The totally incompetent are getting promoted because they’re “yes men” and people are totally unmotivated. There is no more technical leadership, there is just no leadership. Just politicians who use buzzwords and jockey for positional power.

It’s pathetic and sad to see such an opportunity to take advantage of the hype Dell is getting and motivate your people. Reward them and support them. Greed is clearly an enemy of the people and greed is rampant at Dell. Every SVP and above have proven they are soulless ghouls who would do anything for a dollar. They seem to be missing the big picture. That they’re titled and who they are doesn’t matter to anyone. Nobody cares. In fact, they’re making more enemies than friends.

It’s a sad, pathetic time at Dell and is the worst I have ever seen it. Something needs to change or this company will crash and burn. As far as layoffs go, expect them every single month until these greedy, fat ba----ds get their fill.

I believe in their minds' eye they are RACING against other companies to implement AI and reduce headcount. When your goal is to get rid of people, you no longer care about the employee. You care about getting rid of them. When you think about it that way, why talk about them taking things away? Of course they are taking things away. Of course they are trying to make it difficult. People are trying to make a rationale argument thinking it will change peoples' minds. It won't. The business doesn't care.

Think about Tell Dell. People filled it out a few months ago. Have you heard anything? Have you heard even a sliver of good news about anything from it? NO. Nothing. They don't even bother anymore. Get your mind in that frame of mind. As long as the AI purge goes on, humans will be less and less needed. Is this ultimately true? I hope not. I hope it's a bubble.
