I think everyone has DLA? Doubt this is happening to DLA people…

I also see Aegis the latest item in the accounts list on OIM.
Provisioned on August 28th.
Does that mean that i'm on the list ?

The fact that HR changed this after realizing we caught on to this shows how mo--nic HR at Oracle is in general. It might be a blessing being laid off from these mo--ns

@cd same for me, but now it shows as Aegis

@cd you have to search "aegis". HR caught on and had the text obfuscated to hide its for termination

@cb I checked again, and description for me is also Aegis,

UPDATE

You can no longer see it when searching "device" you have to search "aegis" as someone has reported here. Just confirmed.

I'm sure they started seeing people discover their leak and are trying to obfuscate whats going on

@c9 See because HR is watching here and is panicked they leaked their own list...

@c7 They mistakenly reviled the targeted layoff employees, they f**ked up this time by reveling by mistake and then changed the description.

I checked looks like everyone has it. My team, sister teams. This gave me relief. But they have changed the description. "DLA secures oracle-managed employee devices", terminated word is removed

@c0 The sample is also skewed towards the most worried to get laid off. Thats who spend time lurking these forums. I don't think people who are high performing and well liked ever bother checking layoff boards. The population have to be highly skewed towards people who think they might be cut

I verified by screen share with two colleagues and they don't have this DLA, I do have DLA. I connected with my manager to verify he said he have not received any news about layoff in our team, even skip level manager confirmed.

@c3 I'm not sure about this. Its odd M4/M5 start jumping in to say everyone has it. Many many people say they don't. Sounds like damage control by HR or management who don't want the list exposed

@bs M5 here. Can confirm that I have DLA in my OIM. I spot checked several in my org - all key people across regions so contributing to budge very differently - all have DLA. It would be nearly impossible for all those people to be impacted. OIM too slow/org too big to check all. MY TAKE: I agree that DLA alone is not a 100% predictor.

@c0 and pretty much sure they once who said they dont have it most of them didnt look correctly or they are just trolling

@c0 you also need to remember that most people don’t have a clue how to search OIM properly. Many forget there are tabs.

76% (172 out of 226) of poll responders on Reddit have DLA enabled in their accounts. With this moderate sampling of employees, I'd be surprised if DLA is the ultimate indication of a layoff

@bw Based on other threads, you having the DLA account indicates that your org will undergo a layoff, not necessarily meaning you are directly impacted. Just rumors at this point, but that's what some people said.

@bq I stopped reading when you said your colleague has a perf of 5. Are you really this new?

Sounds like HR is trying take the narrative that everyone has this DLA and don't work. I DO NOT HAVE THE "Device" OR DLA. I'm just IC3 in OCI. So Ill trust the votes on the reddit pole. A lot of us worried and browsing these sites do not have this

Search for "Device", not "DLA"

@br Self Service -> My Information -> Direct Reports -> Select the report -> Click the Open button (with a pencil next to it)

If you open an M under you, follow a similar pattern - their direct reports will also be listed and you can click the Open button

@bq I have DLA in my OIM. I was also curious, and tried to look up my directs, however, I was not able to find a filter in the "MY Directs" report that would show me how widely it was provisioned. How did you filter?

DON'T LOSE YOUR MIND YET!

OCI M4 here. My own OIM shows the DLA (date Aug 28) and also everybody from my organization, including someone with a perf rating of 5.

I read somewhere here that Oracle may apply DLA to an entire org if someone (not necessarily everyone) from that org is being laid off. From my years of experience and interactions with security and having read the DLA documentation in Confluence, I don't see why not EVERYONE at Oracle would have DLA enabled - it only kicks in if and when you are laid off, so there's no reason to only add some specific people who are about to be laid off.

Nonetheless, awful timing as usual :(

TL;DR: either my entire org will be laid off, including myself, or DLA is not a fully accurate indication that layoffs will occur (though potentially an indicator?)

Go for a walk, spend time with your family, do something you like... Freaking out won't help anybody. Psychological safety is important, so take care of yourself first if this has been a difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

I'm just sp-t balling here but I'm guessing management gave their first round of names on 8/21 and then higher ups were like give us second wave of names on 8/28 which is why you see two different dates. Je-ks up top were not happy with the first wave of names and asked for more. Good luck everyone!

@bf yes, makes sense. But why didn't they just type in the description "Device lock out for security agent" and instead they wrote "Device lock out for when we riff you lmao"?

I did not see it on either page. Until I actually searched "device". I bet almost everyone has this.

@bf regarding the rollout of a new security agent*

Post ID: @bg+1m1c4db08

I'm thinking this might be related to an email from Enterprise Engineering regarding the time is a new security agent. Thoughts? I have the account provisioned on the 28th, got the EE email on the 27th. I'm based on Europe and usually layoffs here hit a couple of months after the US.
