I am putting in my two weeks this week. Had enough. For anyone in B2B sales that put theirs in recently, were you sent home right away or did they have you work through the two weeks?

Recently I read that for a new hire they mandate 60 days of notice period to leave with the wording under fullest extent of law. Is it true that you can’t leave without 60 days’ notice? Do they pursue it legally? I also read they have arbitration so in that case how it can be enforced legally?

I hear chatter of layoffs coming to HL. September is right around the corner and it typically happens before Employee Appreciation week.

We know we still have like 26000 people to layoff before the year is over according to Jane’s press release

What departments and locations are being impacted?

From what I can remember, layoffs almost always start on Tuesday, so I'm going to assume it's going to be the same this time. I don't buy this "layoffs are canceled" talk, we all know it's going to happen.

Is there an exit interview where I can finally say what I really think?

Our agency missed 7 months in rolling 12, is the following statement from a previous post accurate?

"Agents that miss 7 months out of a moving 12 month measurement will get a 90 day terminaton notice in the 8th month."

Half the remaining US customer service was laid off across all brands due to "restructuring" with zero notice given. Those of us left are being trained on all brands.

When does severance package begin if you were told day of notification was your last day? If 9/4, are you being paid through then w/regular pay?

Noticing a lot of notices on LinkedIn. Right after their prom too, ouch!

If I resign I need to give 30 days notice do I really need to show up to office in the final stretch? Maybe last day to turn in my computer. I’m thinking what’s the point it’s not like they can fire me, by the time “not on model” shows up I’ll be long gone.

I almost hate to ask, but in my defense, they keep changing the rules —and so I’m not quite sure where things are… here goes: they used to say that if you did not get a call by 9:00 am local time, you had another 2 weeks; has that changed? And confirm that terminations can be any time during any day of the week.

What time do you think layoffs will start on Tues AM?

Given the constant changing policies at FIS, does anybody know what happens when a sales person gives two weeks notice? Does your access get cut same day? Do they pay out the two weeks? No PTO to get paid out unless you live in certain states. If anybody knows, please share.

Those w/ a last day of 09/04, have you received your severance agreement?

I have a week planned vacation during my notice period. Do I have to cancel my trip? I cannot risk getting "fired" due to concerns of health insurance and family medical issues.

There were rumors that today was the day, but I haven't seen anything.

Now they're saying "by month end".

I just accepted a new role that starts on 08/24. If Verizon walks me out the day I resign (Monday), that actually works perfectly for my timeline. But if I give notice (I don't want to burn any bridges) and they keep me the full two weeks, I'll need to negotiate my start date, which is far from ideal since they specified how much they need to fill that role ASAP. What's been everyone else's experience lately? Do they keep you or let you go immediately?

I was curious if anyone knew should I put in a 2 week notice with everything going on? I need the work. But I hate to not put a notice in but I fear they will let me go that day. Was curious if there was a fine line with this and the layoffs and what’s being told to management.

I heard that the standard severance package at State Street is 2 weeks for every year of service, with a 10-week minimum. However, I'm wondering whether this severance package is offered on top of the 2-month period between the notification date and the termination date (i.e., 2 months on payroll without active work), or whether it's offered instead of those 2 months on payroll.

Presbyterian Healthcare Services, one of New Mexico’s largest health care systems, is laying off 150 employees in health plan and administrative roles as it prepares to stop offering most of its Medicare Advantage plans in 2027. The Albuquerque-based nonprofit said direct patient care positions will not be affected and that it is still trying to fill about 870 clinical jobs across its hospitals and clinics. Presbyterian said leaving most of the Medicare Advantage market will allow it to focus more resources on patient care, staffing and access, while current members will keep their coverage through the existing plan year and the organization will continue offering its Dual Plus Special Needs Plan.

Schnucks will close its last company-owned warehouse in Bridgeton, Missouri, next year. This closure will result in the layoff of nearly 60 Teamsters Local 688 members. The company is transitioning away from operating its own warehouses. Schnucks has provided eight months' notice to affected employees. The union plans to begin effects bargaining in early August.
