Are departures that we are seeing on LinkedIn considered as #Exxodus 3.0? Or just PIP/PIL employee squeeze.

Loss of RSU when PIP
Will I lose my RSUs if I am PIPed and fail the PIP?
For all the PIPs
For the influx of PIPs coming in, where are you located and which BU? Before someone starts yelling “WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?”, it’s because this would help folks in these countries/BU to know what’s coming and start looking for new roles.
As other here. I'm on PIP
As others here I'm on PIP. First time on this strange improvement plan program...
90 Day Pip Ends Tuesday
I may have passed my PIP but I doubt it.
Education was a measurement and I still have a few Stand and Delivers to submit.
Met with manager at 2week interval and never again. We began focusing on the other PIP objectives ie, ensuring good customer interaction, presentations, etc.
I actually helped move project from POC to deployment as I am an AI FDE
Currently onboarded at customer and manager makes statements like “OP will continue to help get this to prod” “OP is getting contractor term extended for this deployment”.
I feel the uncertainty creeping on me and I just don’t know what to expect.
I’ve been PIP’d before and passed. That one was a 45-day PIP that I completed in 30-days. 90-days was a bit different.
What should I really expect come Tuesday?
What are some things I should do before then?
I’m in Texas if that helps.
PIP feels so liberating
I'm not even trying anymore. Most of my time is spent on the job search, since I know that no matter what I do, I'll be shown the the door at the end. I used to give it my all and then some every single day and I still got put on a PIP. I simply don't give a single damn anymore.
Failing a PIP means always to get separated from the company??

Reddit: Bottom 15% being Auto-PIP'd
Only Elite Human Capital could think this is a good idea: Everyone in the bottom 15% of whatever nonsense metrics they're using this week (whichever ones the right people can game properly) are getting automatically PIP'd.

As we all know they use PIPs to prep people for being RA'd. And all the rumors are pointing to a massive RA in September.
Are managers in European countries making up excuses to put people on PIPs and then lay them off?
Are managers in European countries making up excuses to put people on PIPs and then lay them off?
Quirky culture, love PIP
First, this company doe not have "lay off". Instead, they do PIP. I think you all know the drill. They would say something BS and label you as "To be improved". Then your manager will tell you" Oh so sorry, but we have to put you in PIP. This is to help you. And they let you go at the end of PIP.
You probably ask why? Because this firm has been doing this for decades, and it is the cheapest way to let people go considering all the risks.
And they love hiring people with bureaucratic mindset. As long as you are good at politics, you should not miss this place. I believe you will shine here.
NOT FOR ME. Peace out.
Also, more layoff, sorry more PIPs are coming. Be prepared crewmembers. You know, it is in the memos.
As others here I'm on PIP
I'm unsure what to expect after meeting my PIP goals. Hope, everything will be ok. I really need this work to feed my family.
IBM is in Big Trouble
Is it just a coincidence that literally 4 weeks after the giant IBM stock implosion caused by AK and his incompetent management that this board is filled with posts of people and entire teams getting put on PIPs, terminated etc ? IBM is beyond desperate to reduce headcount without having to pay out one cent...you can see and smell the desperation. But it's also amazing the number of people who no longer GAF about IBM , do the bare minimum, and say they are just floating along for another 1 or 2 years until they get forced out. IBM should add DGAF to their name.
I see many people posting here is on PIP. I'll do the same. I'M ON PIP!!!
Europe country. PIP today.
2026 target headcount reduction?
What was the NSI percentage for 2026, and what’s the allowance for passing the ones taking PIP?I mean what’s the target headcount for 2027?
PIP Severance?
Do those put on PIPs receive severance benefits similar to a layoff situation?
Finally, I got my PIP today
Finally, I got my first PIP today. Even that I was doing lot of work and in my opinion I was top performer finally my manager decided that I deserved a PIP... Crazy company... I guess, all the posts saying RAs in September are gonna be true...
Another one here on PIP today
I was put on a PIP this early morning after 1:1 with my manager.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...
My manager sent me an email with PIP goals
Hi,
My manager sent me an email with PIP goals. Should I sign the document or I can reject it?
They told me is to improve my skills but after reading all the threads I think the idea is to RA at some point...
What's the PIP situation here?
Are they a thing?
I'd rather be laid off than be put on a PIP
One comes with a nice safety net, the other is a certain kick in the behind with nothing.
Can a PIP be survived?
Or is it useless to even try?
How long are/were given to decide PIP or PIL? 21 days ? Or 7 days?
I saw a post with 21 days listed as the decision timeframe. Some countries seem to be told 7 days. What’s your experience ?
Also, when is your last day on payroll if you choose the PIL? If you are eligible to retire, do you retire the day after you leave with PIL?
Layoffs are coming
I’m hearing that major cuts may be coming in the next couple of weeks, and it looks like VPs are being asked to provide numbers from each team. Please be cautious and consider exploring other opportunities as a backup. Unfortunately, these could be especially challenging times for anyone who has recently been on a PIP.
Another IBMer in a PIP today.
Another IBMer in a PIP today. Anyone else is in PIP?
Low assessment follows you more than ever
I have heard multiple supervisors in multiple different conversations comment that they want to bring some “low performers” into their teams since teams are no longer being given special distributions and no longer allowed to pass people on PIPs. If you are offered a role in a group you have never worked in and don’t know anyone in turn it down as you are being setup as the sacrificial lamb.
I was put on a PIP today in France
I was put on a PIP today in France... what should I expect after meeting PIP's goals?

My whole team in Europe is on PIP...
My whole team in Europe is on PIP...
We were put on a PIP after being classified as low performers. There are about 15 of us, and we don’t know why we’ve all been put on it together. We assume the idea is to fire us afterward, since we haven’t been given any further information other than being told to meet the PIP objectives. However, we’ve been hearing rumors that we’re going to be fired in a month.
How long do PIPs last in Europe?
I'm wondering how log do PIPs last in Europe? (1-3 months?) After the PIP what should I expect?
5% employee staff moved to PIP
I thought we were “not copying Exxon”
This is a direct copy and paste from the Exxon playbook
Recent increase in micromanagement?
There’s been this huge crackdown on my team within care management recently on performance and policy compliance. We’re all getting flack for our idle time, call avoidance, taking lunch too late, and on and on. Used to be no one ever checked Verint unless there was some concern about metrics, but now everyone is in the hot seat. Lots of formal coaching and PIPs all at once for objectively very minor offenses. Is it some directive from senior leadership? Maybe they’re trying to thin the herd of less productive associates before AI implementation increases our productivity expectations?
Unemployment in Illinois for PIP Opt-Out?
Anyone been through this in Illinois?
PIP ??
I have never seen anything official announcing that a PIP process would be enforced on the lowest ranked 5% in the new performance system.
Where did this all come from ? … or is it all rumour mill ?
I was fired last Friday
I was fired last Friday.
I was on a PIP and they fired me on Friday... I am going to sue IBM.
Let's introduce PIP for the ELT
Who will get 2- and 3?
Hiring back those we PIPd as hat contractors
Why does management think it is a good idea to run people off and then hire them back for even more money as hat contractors. Very generous of them!
PIP today
I was put on a PIP today. Should I expect to be on the RA list in september?
IT Townhall in India
The company is hiring in offshore locations but not in onshore.
Townhalls are in India. PIP is in action with more to come.
Why are you training your replacements?
How do onshore employees see a future here? I’m not seeing it. Help me understand the logic to stay.
Is PIL agreement negotiable?
I was reading the agreement and it basically says you are waiving any rights to sue the company. And if you find another job they will stop the PIP.
Has anybody been able to negotiate different terms for this agreement?
After working for 30+ years, all you get is 3 months of salary at the cost of waiving broad rights? Ultrageous! This company should pay packages as every other company that does layoffs!
PIP is different this year
If you are NSI this year be very careful before choosing to try the PIP. This year managers have been told they will not be allowed to pass people on the PIP. Managers are scared of going against the guidance as passing people will be seen as not willing to make the hard choices that management material need to make. You are better off taking the PIL and using the time to look for a job.
