If you got 8 weeks notice was your severance package 18 months less 8 weeks? Is anyone getting longer formal notice? Did anyone get like 6 months formal notice so that severance was significantly reduced ? (18 months, less 6 months ?)

Did anyone notice that the last cycle saving account contribution didn't get credited to your sunlife account? Isn't this stuff supposedly regulated and a company could be penalized for error, like some type of interest/missing opportunity cost.

Nothing makes me feel better than seeing job postings for roles in head office that are in Edmonton. So many people have said no to relocation they have no choice but to go external. The institutional knowledge loss will be huge.

A (now former) colleague of mine was featured in promotional LinkedIn post celebrating how great they are. Same person was laid off the very next day in the name of the Canada Transformation. You can't make it up.

In the US (for ExxonMobil), the PIL option seems to be three months. Is it the same for Imperial (Canada) or do they have to offer more, especially if you have 20 or 30 years service?

Hearing there are folks who accepted a move to Edmonton and had been planning for the move. Then to have Imperial pull their offers and gave them an end date. What a slap in the face.

I am one of the so called lucky ones who did not get terminated but put in the redeployment pool and STILL have not heard as they have till June 30. Anyone else hear anything yet?
