Recently I read that for a new hire they mandate 60 days of notice period to leave with the wording under fullest extent of law. Is it true that you can’t leave without 60 days’ notice? Do they pursue it legally? I also read they have arbitration so in that case how it can be enforced legally?

Next round of layoffs are planned for Wednesday Sept 30.

Rumor Has it…
They are eliminating all of the TLs in practice management, giving them 60 days to find a new job in the firm with not many other details provided on what then. As many of us saw, once you were ISP’d there was no going back, you were black balled.
It’s not over people, they are still cleaning house, no one is safe. Get out while you can.
Tuesday is usually the layoff day
From what I can remember, layoffs almost always start on Tuesday, so I'm going to assume it's going to be the same this time. I don't buy this "layoffs are canceled" talk, we all know it's going to happen.
Is it true you have 6 months from the last day of your 60 day notice to be hired to get all senority?
Like you never left.
All PTO
If 401k immediately vested employer contributions you get that back too.
How many Layoffs?
It could be ≤5,000 layoffs. What do you think?
Optum NJ WARN Notice
Optum also filed notice indicating it plans to eliminate 57 positions at its Basking Ridge location. Those layoffs are scheduled to take effect Dec. 7, according to the notice.
Value layoffs?
Noticing a lot of notices on LinkedIn. Right after their prom too, ouch!
CMMC Pause Triggers Layoffs and Contract Issues
Third-party assessment firms are experiencing layoffs and contract cancellations following the Pentagon's 60-day pause of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program. This suspension, intended for reassessment, has created uncertainty and financial strain for these organizations. Representatives from assessment firms pushed back on high cost estimates for certification, distinguishing implementation expenses from assessment fees. Despite the pause, experts advise small and medium-sized businesses to continue pursuing certification due to prime contractor demands. The situation highlights the complex financial and operational challenges faced by businesses in the defense industrial base.

What happens to RSU vesting within next 60 days? Would anything within the WARN period vest?
Job Market Signals Slowdown
Recent economic data indicates a potential downturn in the U.S. job market. Employers eliminated 23,000 positions in July, and revised figures show an additional 103,000 jobs were lost in the preceding two months. The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, or WARN Act, mandates that larger companies provide advance notice for significant staff reductions. This federal law requires 60 days' notice for mass layoffs or plant closings affecting a substantial portion of a company's workforce. Many states offer public access to these WARN notices, allowing individuals to check for potential upcoming layoffs.
https://www.wfla.com/news/national/are-mass-layoffs-coming-most-states-let-you-check-heres-how/
Probable date
The date has to be Monday 24th of Aug. That’s 60 days before October 23.
October 23 is the final RSU payout for any RSUs this year. Other 3 dates are in September: 15,19,20.
I think this is sound reasoning.
Sentara Health Cuts Hundreds of Jobs
Sentara Health is laying off approximately 220 employees due to operational needs. This reduction is part of a larger elimination of 400 positions, with many already vacant. The company is discontinuing certain Medicare Advantage Prescription Dr-g plans at the end of the year. A third of the affected workforce held leadership roles. Impacted employees were notified and will receive at least 60 days' notice.

I'm excited about our future.. lol
Here’s a cleaned-up, more coherent version that keeps your original tone and meaning:
Rumors started about 60 days ago of a possible CEO change, a bonus for employees after a record quarter, and Mondays working from home.
I’d been hearing the CEO-replacement rumor for a while and was hoping it would happen, but it looks like a big fat no. So when I first heard whispers about a bonus, my reaction was “Oh he-l no… HE-L no.” I was pleasantly surprised when that one turned out to be true.
As for Mondays working from home—I’d be surprised if it actually happens, but I don’t think it’s completely off the table. The company is global and we aren’t needed in the office every day, so it could be a real work-life-balance perk. The whispers about it are growing the same way the bonus rumors did, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Still, I’m disappointed the CEO is still here.
(And glad you can use an AI agent after having an IT person come in and type it in for you.)
Not sure I understand
I’ve seen the article and all the rumours, but there’s one thing I can’t reconcile. We have some actual history to compare this against:
• Last summer, Oracle filed WARN notices in Washington ahead of layoffs — including filings covering 161 employees in August and another 101 reported in September 2025.
• For the March 31/April 2026 cuts, Oracle again triggered WARN in at least some locations. Washington reported a WARN filing covering 491 employees. (Bizjournals)
Federal WARN generally requires 60 days’ advance notice
Business Insider is reporting another round of Oracle cuts planned for August, with some teams potentially facing double-digit percentage reductions.
I’m not seeing the WARN filings so thoroughly confused. I know that doesn’t mean layoffs aren’t happening.
How are the cuts structured so that we aren’t seeing WARN notices? Are they spread across enough U.S. locations that individual sites stay below WARN thresholds? Are a significant percentage outside the U.S.? Is timing being staggered? Or is the reported scale simply being overstated?
And I don’t think “it’s remote employees” automatically answers it.
That’s the piece I’m trying to understand. The lack of WARN activity seems off given what happened in spring & last year
WARN Act Applicability
I haven't seen anyone cite the Federal WARN Act in their posts or responses; with this being a layoff of more than 50 people, would the WARN Act not apply in this situation? If so, they would need to provide 60 days notice, or at least the equivalent in pay/severance. At least that's what I thought. Is my understanding incorrect?

AVMAC Cuts Staff After Contract Loss
AVMAC LLC is laying off 62 employees at its Jacksonville facility. This action follows the loss of a government contract at the site. The company cited that the contract was awarded to a different entity. AVMAC stated it has no other similar work available in the region. Ubisoft Faces WARN Act Scrutiny After Layoffs
Ubisoft Entertainment is facing scrutiny regarding its recent workforce reductions at its Red Storm Entertainment studio. This follows an earlier wave of job cuts, raising questions about the aggregation of layoffs under the federal WARN Act. The Act mandates 60-day notice for mass layoffs or plant closings, with significant penalties for violations. Employers must consider all employment losses within a 90-day window to determine WARN Act applicability. This situation highlights the complexities of multi-round reductions and legal compliance for employers.

The WARN act notifications.
Does anyone know how the company is getting around the Worker And Retraining Notification (WARN) that I believe the company is subject to.? The numbers involved in the various RIFs imply they should be filing WARN reports.
I know the earlier round included 60 day Admin Leave which would allow them to get around it but the latest rounds don't seem to be so generous and not include the 60 day admin leave.
2 weeks’ notice—let go immediately?
I’ve heard from a couple of people that when they gave their 2 weeks’ notice, Centene immediately cut off access to company devices but the employee was paid for those 2 weeks and health insurance continued to the end of the month.
Are any people leaders able to verify if this is the standard when someone gives notice? Or is this more an exception than the rule?
For those laid off: caution
100% be cautious of this.. You’ll read a lot of people say something like “oh I got a job during those 60 days and kept the severance”. I did this. Lost my severance. Then got laid off two months later at my new job. 8 months later im back here. In a role 3 levels lower than when I left.
Remember those 60 days you’re still employed. If you accept another role. You aren’t laid off. You’ve now quit.
It’s a notice of potential employment loss due to layoff. If you accept another role during that time you quit your job and took a new job. These companies have automated systems that notify each other. Especially with workday.
Very much do start your job hunt immediately. It’s a long drawn out process with multiple rounds of interviews.
Just don’t accept the role until day 61.
I beg of you - listen to my advice.
60 Day Notice? True?
Some other sites are saying that employees at Ess were given 60 day notices?
is this true?
Layoff during medical leave
If you are laid off during medical leave (receiving STD benefits but no longer in the 12 week FMLA protection period), does the 60 day notice period start the day they call you or the day you return from leave?
More Target Creative laid off today
Various roles within target creative were cut today with 60 days notice. Remember when people were proud to work for Target? Seems like a fever dream now
WARN Notice Question
Now that the VSP program has finalized we know the company will be moving forward with involuntary layoffs. Does Centene still have to submit a WARN notice? I did some research and the VSP does not fall under a WARN notice so if Centene decides to lay off more people they have to submit one. My question is, is the WARN notice only for a significant cut in workforce or even if they have a small number of layoffs to do.
I didn’t take the VSP and I’m ok with that but I’m honestly annoyed with not knowing if I’m going to have a job in 60 days or not. The games are getting old.
It's Aug... any news?
Are the business update meetings going out yet? Someone in this forum previously said first week of Aug would see some layoffs. That's next week. Any updates?
