Got confirmation of October layoffs today in my org. Anyone else? Trying to see how big this one will be...
Layoffs and Remote Workers
Are all remote workers eventually going to be let go regardless on performance?
Corp Functions Next?
20% cuts in product and tech, will the admin functions get a worse round? Typical industry layoffs cut admin workers twice as much as ops. Are we looking at a major reorg for everyone outside sales/prod/tech in Q1 FY27?
News on Warsaw?
Did they announce who is being let go in Warsaw office?
Why don’t we start a union?
No really, why don’t we start a union at Visa?
Ryan All Hands
What did everyone think about Ryan saying layoffs are now part of the “new normal” and to expect them going forward?
They should have cut more VPs
They could have added a zero to the six and nobody would have batted an eye. We have so many completely useless VPs who are somehow always safe. Not hard to figure out why. (hint: nepotism/cronyism)
Did anyone from the UK reject the settlement?
Wondering what’s involved?
Anyone else notice all the WARN-listed cuts are Foster City, not Mission Rock?
Went through the CA EDD WARN report for Visa's recent notices. The filing from 7/31/26 covering the ~320 positions is listed as Foster City, CA I haven't found a single WARN entry naming Mission Rock in San Francisco. Anyone in SF seeing a different... — read more

The same story again and again
They lay off talented people, and then when they need the work done, they have to hire two people to replace one. How's that efficient?
Watch as they surprise us with more cuts next week
I hate this place so much, and I believe this leadership is capable of anything, including that.
Is there a case for a lawsuit?
Considering that the majority of those laid off are over a certain age, and age discrimination is supposed to be illegal.
What's the health coverage situation?
What is included in severance, if anything?
I hope this is true
More mass layoffs NOT coming within the next year, this wasn’t the start of monthly rounds thankfully, though I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple roles across departments are eliminated, but that’s common occurrence nowadays. This was confirmed... — read more
Even hiring in Poland that took place a year ago favored specific ethnicity
"i**ns make up roughly 0.08% to 0.1% of the total population in Poland" yet most tech teams were able to hire 2-3 of them at least when hiring 5 people. miracle.

How is everyone feeling post townhalls?
It seems like this is not the last round of layoffs. Prepare for further organization changes within the year…
2024=1,400 | 2026=2,600 | 2028=?
Every two years, coincidence? Lets see how many will be cut in year 2028
The Writing is On the Wall
Whatever you just saw was 7%. No where is that anywhere near enough for whatever Visa is trying to achieve as part of the 2030 strategy that is constantly being touted. Layoffs will be an annual strategy moving forward. More offshoring to lower cost... — read more

Constant layoff anxiety
I used to worry about layoffs occasionally. Now it's all the time. I'm exhausted. I'm thinking about job hunting even though it'll be tough at my age.
Is anybody worried about Europe?
Replacing Visa and MC with a local alternative could hurt us majorly. And we all know it's not those on top who'll pay the price, but the rest of us. I've been so nervous about this since the news first came out.
