Are all remote workers eventually going to be let go regardless on performance?

20% cuts in product and tech, will the admin functions get a worse round? Typical industry layoffs cut admin workers twice as much as ops. Are we looking at a major reorg for everyone outside sales/prod/tech in Q1 FY27?

Did they announce who is being let go in Warsaw office?

No really, why don’t we start a union at Visa?

What did everyone think about Ryan saying layoffs are now part of the “new normal” and to expect them going forward?

They could have added a zero to the six and nobody would have batted an eye. We have so many completely useless VPs who are somehow always safe. Not hard to figure out why. (hint: nepotism/cronyism)

They lay off talented people, and then when they need the work done, they have to hire two people to replace one. How's that efficient?

I hate this place so much, and I believe this leadership is capable of anything, including that.

Considering that the majority of those laid off are over a certain age, and age discrimination is supposed to be illegal.

I used to worry about layoffs occasionally. Now it's all the time. I'm exhausted. I'm thinking about job hunting even though it'll be tough at my age.

Replacing Visa and MC with a local alternative could hurt us majorly. And we all know it's not those on top who'll pay the price, but the rest of us. I've been so nervous about this since the news first came out.
