Based on Slack numbers we're down like 450 or something actives, beginning with around 26,000-something.
I guess maybe the 20% is over the course of a couple years but IDK

Not everyone uses slack. Better to check teams org charts for numbers reporting. EL had 34,253 direct reports last week. I would say that includes all CW etc too. Today that number is 30,444.
Bear in mind that they have transitioned some CS folks that were employed under PayPal and gave the option to lose their position or to be employer through an outsourcing company. This will technically count as employees laid off.
Lots of folks posting about being impacted are still active... so Slack deactivations are certainly not finalized yet for most that I've seen
a lot of people impacted haven't had their slacks deactivated yet
