Was shocked to learn in some areas, the person running the layoff call was not from hr, but a Director forced to hold the call. Didn't even know who or how many laid off.

The director had to stand in for hr on the call.
AI firing sounds worse
well our director got laid off and i heard a handful of people received AI prerecorded messages as their layoff notification
if directors are asked then, there is a possibility of favoritism, probably why good potential people getting laid off?
