Nope not a spy, just smart enough to have already bailed for more $ and was just wondering how sc--wed you all would be come March 2026. Enjoy what Bill thinks you are worth in your ICP checks.
I hope Bills wife cheats on him with TR
Soy Boys with no spine to fill out a survey honestly or get off their lard b-ms depressed in a chair.
@2w25 This might be the d-mbest thing posted on here. And that’s saying something.
Big ups to those who cowardly put high marks on their surveys to quote "avoid drama". You have done a great service to your immediate teammates who want to use it as a mechanism to improve their situation. Oh, fear of retaliation? Now the lone wolves that voiced their honest opinions are singled out.
But let's all get back to talking about that medical episode conspiracy to dodge the hard hitting questions about where the new office will be.
@2w7s Sometimes I think this place is a honeypot for corporations to weed out their weasels.
@2w7p
I don't know why don't you go to the homepage and check it yourself? Are you some kind of spy?
Check wikipedia or your accountant bro.
@2w7c
If EPS is only 16% what is the rest? You would think the main funding driver would be a larger %?
Doubt there was a big conspiracy to go over 5 minutes and have someone faint to escape the epic tough questions about RTO and building remodeling 🙄 .
Actually you can just look at the score card and see that the earnings target is weighted 16.67% of the ICP.
@2w51 The value of ICP is inversely proportional to earnings. The more the company earns the smaller the ICP because shareholder value is the only metric relevant to the CEO's compensation. Why can't AEP retain employees under the age of 50? Because there is no stakeholder value, no team spirit and no morale. The future is tomorrow and young employees are looking 30 years into the future to measure their success against the success of previous generations. Despite being a electric utility their future is not bright.
Hey fellow toilers! Anyone know how the reported earnings are in any way affecting ICP?
Thanks!
@2w25 Fainting came with a promotion to Chief Distraction Officer.
Reality TV has nothing on AEP. I am surprised Jerry Springer was not the moderator. In the future only those paid actors hired to attend, will be allowed in employee meetings. If you are incapable of achieving it then just fake it. The only reality exists in your own mind.
@2w0y
Many people? Yeah sure they did. The talk of the town.
@2w0y
Bill had a plant in the audience who pretended to faint so that he wouldn't have to answer our hard-hitting questions.
@2twm if you dont score them well on surveys they wont give you your bonus. Hilarious
I missed it, but did anyone see the end of the Q3 call today? Many people reached out to me saying it ended abruptly with people getting up and walking out as there were still conversations going on.
@2w04 Only you.
WINNING! LET’S HAVE A GREAT FOURTH QUARTER!
After seeing our RTO plans. I am 100% convinced this has nothing to do with collaboration or anything beneficial. It's only about getting people to quit without having to do payouts.. That or we are ran by complete mo--ns. This all about making everyone miserable.
@2vwy
Shareholder value and stock prices have gone up since a lot of the people that come on here and are so happy they left. Correlation? I think so.
@2vvw okay DB. God speed in your endeavors.
@2vw6
Well I'm sure it's easy to hand-wave away work-life balance when you're starting to get in the ballpark of 7-figure compensation.
But the concept actually means something to us lowly scrubs who don't get paid enough to have a pot to pi-s in.
It's interesting you bring that up, there was also a question in the Q&A about whether or not we track why prospective employees decline offers from AEP. They answered that yes we do track that, and then they flat-out admitted that lack of remote flexibility is a common theme. However instead of actually thinking about what that means, they just repeated the "collaboration" mantra like a robot.
I've realized that interacting with leadership is like talking to a wall. They don't care and nothing sinks in. They've already decided everything and their job is to trick you into thinking you were a part of the decision. Cracking the whip, but with a smile.
What a joke in Transmission - how do we attract talent that is younger with remote work...
We just keep hoping they can't read that we have no flexibility and no work life balance!
Good job vp! Sounds like we will eventually find people never. Place is a JOKE
Reading some of the comments about my former company, I am so glad I left last year. I thought I was going to regret leaving in the event the company became a go to place to work. I'm thinking my decision to leave was now a really good decision. I could not imagine working there now. This site reaffirms that every time I read new comments. Good luck guys, there is life beyond AEP.
@2vw6 I’m not sure if they wonder why they can’t retain them - the culture/tone feels like it was meant to continue push out the perceived “middle” layers of management.
@2vw0
And they wonder why they can't retain the under 50 set.
Hey Doug, young men don't push all of their parenting duties onto unemployed wives anymore, because they don't have them. Households today need two workers. You will actually have to hire enough people (I know...GASP!) if you want to get the work done.
Anyone see the Transmission Q&A that went out today? Oof.
Some hard hitters in there. Doug was asked what the company is doing to ensure work-life balance and he basically said if you care about work-life balance then AEP isn't a good fit for you. Lol.
I love the job descriptions, why join us, you will experience a supportive environment with growth opportunities. I know my experience was a lot different. You treated me like sh-t and retaliated against me for wanting to advance my career. IMO you will experience narsitic leadership that does not have the mental state to acknowledge their own toxic behavior. This is the resson why you are reading this comment on this web sight. This is also the reason why the company has such high turnover. You are toxic. Common you ignorsnt leaders give a down post to this, you must hide from thr truth. Your fragile ego could not comprehend anyone elses experiences under you leadership. Thank you for destroying a good company and blowing out everyone elses candles. It must make you feel good about yourself.
We The People are in big trouble if our lineworkers don't read carefully.
@2vt6 They Actually come from We The People.
@2v60 It feels like the lack of rumors around leaving 1RP probably just means there’s no big splash like leaving downtown Columbus. In other words, we will likely just continue at 1RP and do some renovation work.
@2vrt Some bucket bunny inflate your ego? Everyone knows how the sausage is made. People do appreciate the work required but let's not pretend that there aren't a few hundred younger men and women ready to step in your boots.
Comments like this typically come from some line foreman with dirt on his hips from the gloves he used once a few weeks ago.
Lineworkers scaling poles in the wind, dispatchers juggling outages, substation techs guarding the grid—none of that magic happens without us. Every safe restoration, every flicker fixed before a kid yells “Trick or treat!”—that’s skill, training, and solidarity.
This Halloween, remember: the grid isn’t powered by pumpkins—it's powered by people. Strong contracts, strong crews, strong communities. Stand up, sign up, and show up—because when we bargain together, we win together. In the end, it’s simple: we the people.
We the people are about to make some serious bank in Texas now that the way is cleared. I am bricked up like something crazy right now 🤯
AEP Texas about to make a fortune with a politically favorable landscape. Y'all see they purged millions of illegal voters? Also we gonna get rich once all these people needing bill assistance go back home.
Not going anywhere … going to spend millions of dollars renovating 1RP
