When I applied here, I knew it would take a lot of work and proving myself. However, I couldn’t have imagined that TR was squeezing its employees this much. Of course, only those with a lack of self-confidence who think they don't deserve anything... — read more
Better pay
I managed to get an offer with 30 percent higher pay, but unfortunately, there was something else I didn't like about it. However, it is only now that I am realizing how much I am underpaid here. I'm interested in how much higher pay did you get in... — read more
1350 Open Roles
It’s been 2 weeks since I posted last and the openings continue to climb. Just can’t seem to find people at bargain basement pay rates. Also remote positions still do NOT show pay range. April is fast approaching so all portions in NYC will need to... — read more
Growing dissatisfaction
The customers are becoming very dissatisfied, which is not a good thing. My question though is who is becoming more dissatisfied here, the employees or the customers?
Bonus on notice period?
if I give my two week notice so that the bonus day falls in my notice time, are there any possibilities of TR cutting my bonus? I think our employment agreements just say that we need to be employed by the time of bonus and for this year I think it’s... — read more
Nervous...
I'm so nervous about getting laid off. My boss gave me a partial achieved even though I had good feedback from my peers and business partners. I just heard a rumor last week that it means I won't get bonus and will probably get notified in March. Can... — read more
Leaving after 10 years
Have finally made decision that it’s not going to get any better. TAP is a complete disaster. Tons of open roles, and when they can fill an opening, they are hiring outside with no experience required. Large customers very upset already, only going... — read more
Decision-making skill
It is pretty clear that the leadership of the TR are not great decision-makers. I'm just interested in how they make decisions, what does it look like? It seems to me that they are actually experimenting, that is, that decision-making is not... — read more
Reason to leave:

What do we do better thank other companies?
It's not a trick question, I just want to see if we can have at least one positive thread here.
Diversity and inclusion
Is there much diversity and inclusion at Thomson Reuters?
Total chaos and disorganization
TR acquired too many other companies with no strategy on what to do with them. Then, engaged in mass layoffs and hiring freezes. It's total chaos and disorganization. Perfect description of what happened to TR. It all boils down to incompetent... — read more
1334 Open Roles
That is over a 100 more open roles then last time I posted about it. Hmmm seems like they are having trouble filling these. Wonder why?
How did TR fall into identity crisis?
Just as someone wrote, this company has an identity crisis. The only question is whether this identity crisis will be resolved before it is too late, and I am also interested in how this company got to that stage in the first place.
Inflation equals more profit
At ASM that is what was said. The open session for legal said with inflation will come more profit. Nothing about passing that on to employees in the form of compensation. Just costs are going up so we should, no we “must” increase our prices too. — read more
Anyone here in Practical Law?
I know a little bit about this company's history and am considering an opportunity with this team. But some of the comments on here make me nervous. Are there any areas of growth at this company, or is it all going downhill fast?
Insider trading alert
Interesting that KR, BP and more selling many of their shares Makes you think change program is a cover for KR and team to suck all the $$ out or TR that they can, then leave their mess behind. Thomson Reuters investors should be wary... — read more
Get out while you can
This place is really getting comical. I’m here 20 years and have never seen it so bad. Literally ever person I talk to in TAP is looking. (At least in sales). The market is hot…….as soon as someone gets the right opportunity, they are jumping ship... — read more
Open roles
Some roles have been open for months. What is going on? Is TR really unable to find suitable candidates or is no one capable wanting to come and work here anymore? I don’t remember ever having any position open as long as it now.
Financial report is on Tuesday
How good/bad will it be?
"It's the fault of..." messages
"...the vaccinated, the unvaccinated, the masked, the unmasked" etc. If you're serious, these messages are id--tic. If you're not, they're not funny. Either way, enough.
I will no longer follow townhalls
Isn't that just a waste of time?
No one is mentioning layoffs
There are many open positions that have not been filled yet. Also people are leaving. Does that mean we are safe from the cuts for a while longer?
Constant chaos
After the last townhall I sent a bunch of applications. I don't want to wait for better days anymore. Everyone should run when they have a chance. I hoped in vain that things here would improve a little. However, it seems that this chaos can only... — read more

Throwing employees under the bus
Has anyone seen the new severance package? Yes, they snuck it in under the employee radar because it has drastic cuts to severance. Management (I can no longer say leadership) Is downright bullying employees in hope that they will quit and therefore... — read more
All Hands Townhall
Well, that was 1 hour of absolute cringe. If anything, they'd inspire people to follow our TAP colleagues and leave this sinking ship. Do they really believe people are inspired by their propaganda of fake anecdotes? Hilarious.

Why am I no longer trying to achieve good performance?

TR - Glassdoor Best Place to Work?
I was surprised to see that TR was considered a Best Place to Work by Glassdoor. Things must have improved significantly since I left. Glad to see this for my former colleagues still at TR.

Unused time off
Was anybody else unable to use their time off in 2021 due to deadlines, lack of resources and no backup? With the "use it or lose it" policy, TR wins by making people work when they are supposed to be off and not paying for the PTO.
If I'm guaranteed a severance, I'll volunteer to be laid off
