Verizon Retail

The only incentive is to do enough not to get fired. That is not a recipe for success.

I don't care anymore

If this company doesn't care about the fact that some are overwhelmed with work here and at the same time values great employees as much as those who hardly do anything here, then why would I care and try to do my best? It's not worth it. I don't... — read more

Would you be any better off then?

It’s amazing to me how some persist on their view that Verizon needs to close some stores. Why would someone want people to lose their jobs? After all, would it be much better for others if they closed some stores? I don't think so.

Leadership Turnover - Verizon Can't Retain Talent

They don't care - FYI. A consumer director out of New York just left Verizon... he had over 4+ years as the retail director. Verizon continues to show it can't retain talent. This is also evident that they're dismantling the retail division, trimming... — read more

Why do we have a quota during a supply crisis?

No 13 pros, no 13 pro max, no ipads, no Samsung tablets, no Samsung phones other than flips and folds, why do we even have a quota? And why is the quota based on previous year when we had devices in stock?

No, I'm not going to take part in that

They want to turn us into front line trainers? Yes, it is becoming increasingly clear that the company wants people in retail to be front line trainers who will teach the customers to not need us, as someone has already said. Great observation! I... — read more

Judging by the sales in November...

I think retail will be a debacle in December? The most important month of the year sales wise and stores are running thin with nothing to get excited about. December for Verizon corporate retail will be a failure. November has already proven as... — read more

Six months since I left

I came here to check if things might have improved any in the last six months, but judging from the posts the answer is a resounding no. I feel for you all, but I'm so happy to be out of that mess. I've been looking to get out for over a year before... — read more

Retail management

Back again after a while to remind everyone here just how useless Verizon management is in the stores are. They hide in the back or stand around and check people in to go back to playing on their phones....that's about it. And these bafoons make more... — read more

Black Friday indirect outsells direct 2-1

The numbers don’t lie. Combined new phone adds and pull through the indirect stores crushed it. How is Verizon ok with the corporate stores just clerking stuff and just getting by ? Things will never get better with current pay plan. It was a nice... — read more

Masks

Hey Lord Verizon, are we just gonna wear masks forever or what? Either make customers wear them as well or end this ridiculous stance of having us employees wear them for political points.

No longer sales driven

I use to wake up STOKED to go to work and sell EVERYTHING. Now I literally come to work to figure out how I can convince people to place their d*mn order through the Verizon App. What’s the point of working hard when the lazy people make the... — read more

I could work a lot harder

However, I do not. For months now I've been working as much as the laziest employee here. Why? Because one such individual, who always manages to transfer part of his work to someone else, is just as appreciated and valued as I was when I was... — read more

Didn’t call out

Yesterday we were all sitting around the table giving thanks and my dad shared how thankful he was that I could put on a screen protector and I realized the impact my job truly has. Couldn’t bear calling out after that. #Blessed

Incentive opportunity hoax

The current comp structure at risk is based on how many hours someone works per month. There is a 24/32 and 40 hour structure. When it comes to working overtime the “ at risk “ is adjusted for the 24 and 32 hour positions but not the 40 hour ones... — read more

Hit a 2.0

Just out of curiosity is there anyone who believes that their store will hit a 2.0? I mean that is the only way you can hit the heavily taxed bonus of $600. The real money is in the overtime but working more then 40 hours in a busy holiday month is... — read more

When did everything stop being fun?

While it was fun, we were less stressed, engaged, more productive.. Now it's not fun anymore and working here is very tiring. I'm afraid nothing can fix company culture here anymore because this company has lost its direction. I also think it stopped... — read more

NO THANKS to the overtime

I would rather observe que times at an all time high and witness customers becoming disgruntled. The greatest feeling is when the first shift all leave and we are down to 2 reps with 10 still in the que. The look on customers faces is priceless. I... — read more

Wichita and Derby Callout

Black Friday will be here next week. I just wanted to remind everyone that we have staged a mass callout. Stick to the script.

What changes would you make here?

Everyone is talking about leadership that has no vision... that has lost its direction.... that is making bad moves... I completely agree. However, when I ask my colleagues what changes they would like to see here, the answer is mostly “fire bad... — read more

Everyone of importance has left the northeast

Prominent retail leadership have all jumped ship in the last 3 months. There is nothing but a shell of what once was. It’s as if they all know what’s about to happen and wanted no parts of it. Such a shame… BEWARE OF Q1!!!

Brace for a change in compensation

Hans is ready to pay us in AwardperQs instead of US Dollars. You can redeem your Hans Dollars for gamer swag and barbecue grills! Make sure you call your lender and ask if they accept Hans Dollars for your mortgage payment.

For some reason I think this Black Friday is going to be a lot different than it used to be? One of the reasons is, as someone has already said, that we don't have much to sell.

Unpaid overtime

Bare minimum - I'm not buying it

Layoffs just in retail? CSR at home is hiring all over….

So the people that take calls are safe from the layoffs? Confused. I am a new hire and just got hired today, getting equipment tomorrow. Are we safe as WFH employees? By the looks of it just looks like stores employees are getting the axe.
