This process has NOT been EPIC2...

The rollout of the letters has NOT been done in an EPIC2 fashion. Which, I get it, EPIC2 are VMW's values, not BC's so should anyone expect it to be? While I get we have 30K+ employees, and it might not be feasible to send out that many letters at... — read more

No offers today?

Maybe they’re holding off releasing any more due to the whole China thing?

China approval…

… must come tonight (China time), or BC can’t make it on Monday. Last possible date is November 26.

Friday - last working day

For those being laid off, Friday may be your last chance to access your work laptop or the corporate network. I have heard access will be lost early on Monday.

The sale is going through

I think that with the offers we can finally put to bed the acquisition issue. It's going through. I have to admit, I'm glad we finally know what's going on. It was about time.

Are offers still going out?

What is the schedule exactly? Seems like a bulk of people have received the offer. I'm yet to receive any offer.

Anyone in Tanzu public sector receive a letter today? Worried I might be on the chopping block. Management is remaining mum.

This is not how you do an acquisition

Dear Hock, Jill Turner and the Broadcom M&A team, Your acquisition process has room for improvement. Insufficient information has been provided to individuals who are transitioning to Broadcom, resulting in confusion and mass speculation. The... — read more

New manager assignments in offer letters seem random

Talking with several people in my org who have received offer letters, every one of them (including myself) have been assigned a new manager. In all the cases I am aware of, that new manager is an existing VMware employee; however, we cannot figure... — read more

Accessing the Broadcom portal before getting the email

Go to login.broadcom.com, enter your VMware email address and choose Forgot Password. It'll email you with a code to reset it. Once you are in, it will say "Broadcom Inc. (Customer)" or "Employee" in the top right. If you are listed as Employee then... — read more

I have not yet had an offer (US) and I am not hopefull

To be honest I am happy to get laid off, I'd just rather know this week, and not have it drag out. I am a P6, and others in the team have had their offers already. I am not sure if they are doing it by level, team, role, or random, but they have put... — read more

Stop panicking!

You don't know that all the offers are out. You can't know that. Why in the world are you torturing yourself with all the doom and gloom about being ignored? You don't know that's the case! I swear, some of you people love to be miserable for the... — read more

Comp - RSUs

Folks who got offers, congrats! Would you mind sharing how many RSUs you received over 4 years I assume?

This company was my life

I did not get an offer and really did not think that this would be the case. My team is my family and I’m having a super hard time - feels like a part of me is over

Field Application Engineer

I currently support large GSI partners. Offer is essentially a field SE job. Expectations are to show up at an office if one is within 50 miles. Pay is essentially the same. No idea who customer(s) are.

I just got my letter - TAM

The TAMs have received our letters, but we all have a new "role" which is Technical Support Engeneer... At VMware the TSE is there to help customers when there are problems with the products, what about the role of TSE at Broadcom ?
