Can we decline a stay offer?

If we’re offered a position with Broadcom as a “stay” and aren’t interested can we decline it and take the layoff severance instead or do we just have to walk away with nothing?

What happens to our 401k

There has been no transparency about the 401k and what happens to it which is pretty annoying. If the 401k shuts down then they will liquidate and sell all the positions and nobody has any idea whether we will have the opportunity in advance to roll... — read more

Oct 30 pay

Do you think Oct 30 will be processed through VMW payroll or will Oct 15 be the final pay from VMW payroll? I am thinking payroll transition will take place earlier and BC may actually issue that check. Or perhaps they will run both payrolls in... — read more

Broadcom no-trade period policy?

Does anyone know if Broadcom has a No-Trade period policy after acquisition? They’ve been through a couple acquisitions. Did they end up freezing AVGO for 0-90 days or so for employee trades? I’m curious about how liquid my stock may have become... — read more

Broomfield office hiring more people

The Broomfield office has announced hiring at least three more people for on-site duties. Why would they do that unless they planned on more people being in the office?

Now that ,as expected, Ops is getting culled. What's the process for the Retention RSUs that Ops teams got . I know they'll vest for us on exit but can we go over the voting rights (won't it be closed?) or do we get cash - and if so is that the $140... — read more

How are the GSS folks doing?

Rarely see any activity on support or past examples of how Broadcom has dealt with product support function in the past. How are the sentiments in our support org?

Permanent option

The permanent offer doesn’t seem that attractive. Not only can you get laid off at any time but you’ll be stuck with a draining daily commute to the office. You also have a lot less time to job search and schedule interviews.

Voting date extended

I received an email from Fidelity telling me the voting date has been extended to the Monday 18th, from Friday the 15th. No idea why they would do that.

Did not get laid off today

Met with my manager, they didn't mention layoffs at all. Didn't ask either, since even if they knew, they would lie to me. No news is good news, although I'm not sure being kept is all that good.
