Would you recommend moving into a non engineering role with VMWare currently?

If we’re offered a position with Broadcom as a “stay” and aren’t interested can we decline it and take the layoff severance instead or do we just have to walk away with nothing?

The Broomfield office has announced hiring at least three more people for on-site duties. Why would they do that unless they planned on more people being in the office?

What happens to vacation days when we get acquired or if you are laid off?

The fact that there is no simple way to answer the question "What does Customer X own?" tells you much about this pile of dung that Hok is buying. Good luck to him in sorting it all out, lol.

Rarely see any activity on support or past examples of how Broadcom has dealt with product support function in the past. How are the sentiments in our support org?

I see lots of R&D complaining about return to office and less free time to basket weave or whatever they do lol. None of this applies to sales, who’s worried from sales?

Would/could this deal proceed without China’s approval?

The permanent offer doesn’t seem that attractive. Not only can you get laid off at any time but you’ll be stuck with a draining daily commute to the office. You also have a lot less time to job search and schedule interviews.

Met with my manager, they didn't mention layoffs at all. Didn't ask either, since even if they knew, they would lie to me. No news is good news, although I'm not sure being kept is all that good.

Will this be another BS meeting with everyone back slapping each other for a cr-p job well done. Or , will we actually get some genuine information.. My bets on BS overload
