Anthem Data Breach

Remember the Anthem Data Breach? Well it just got me. My data was on the dark web and my identity was used last week to open a new bank account. So now I have to become an identity theft expert to ward off the effects of Anthem’s pathetic data... — read more

Unnecessary initiatives

Of all the unnecessary initiatives, Elephant Health is the winner of the competition for the most unnecessary one. Unfortunately, there are even more of them. Why all these unnecessary initiatives?

Helevate

Who came up with Elevance name? It sounds like the supplement Ensure, or the aldult diaper Depends. They should have taken the words Health and Elevate and made Helevate. Tag line could be: Get Helevated!

March layoffs....?

Anyone hearing rumors of more layoffs occurring the first week in March?

They should burn in he-l

These MFers are so f***king greedy. I’m at a loss for words. After being let go last year without warning or any issues — they are now (a year later) fighting the unemployment I claimed for a measles two months. Greed greed and more greed.

Doing more with less. Really?

While everyone is speculating whether Anthem will soon cut more people and whether the company can keep doing more with fewer people, I am afraid that something else is happening here. I have less work to do than ever. I would say that it is not... — read more

Meeting deadlines

Is it just me or do others also have more and more trouble meeting the deadlines? I’m still somehow succeeding at it, but it’s becoming a growing challenge for me. Deadlines are becoming unrealistic because Anthem obviously wants to squeeze people... — read more

The only way to increase your pay is to leave Anthem?

The financial focus is on buying other companies, stock/ dividend increases, and executive pay, not compensating lower level employees. If you are just starting out in your career, the only way to increase your pay at or more than the rising cost of... — read more

I wish there were valid alternatives

Anywhere I've applied I've only gotten bad offers that don't come close to what I make here. I know my worth and I'm not willing to settle for something less, so I'll keep looking. Staying here, however, is destroying my mental health, so I really... — read more

Profits are more important than people

No matter how hard you work and the amount of knowledge you have, you are not safe at Anthem. The company will have no problems laying you off if they can find somebody who'd be willing to do your job for less money. The new hire doesn't know as much... — read more

CVS seems to pay more

CVS seems to pay more than Anthem bc they offer more unique positions and don't make you become a manager in order to make the big bucks. Just an observation I notice. Anthem is all about manager hierarchy and nothing else.

Anthem did me a favor

Is Anthem still on the warpath to cut its way to profitability? I am one of the victims of that war, I was laid off a year ago. I'm not complaining, though, it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I was too much of a coward to quit... — read more

Antthem Layoffs 2022

Is there going to be any reorg or Antthem layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Perhaps off topic - I could not add folks for 360s

Once upon a time, in a good employer realm, one had to pick others - peers, customers, other mgmt folks for reviews that were applied to one's annual review (at one time called 360s, perhaps I am showing my longevity). As of yesterday, 11/9/2021, I... — read more

One positive thing about Anthem

Since they aren't a real company- just a patchwork of vendors. It teaches you a valuable lesson that you shouldn't try to find fulfillment from a job or company no matter how well run or not the company is. You should find it outside.
