HP November 2015 Layoffs

OK, so what do we know so far? There will be a split in November 2015, but are we going to be laid off in November or do we have more time? It'd be stupid if they were to let all 30,000 people go at the same time, so I think that we, especially HPE... — read more

It's time we all stood up to HP's UNETHICAL TREATMENT

Like our US counterparts at Ciber, i think Adecco and Modis employees in Canada, the US, or wherever you are should also stand up to HP and their disgraceful practices! Make our voices heard, inform local and national news stations such as CBC that... — read more

The silence

The silence is deafening. The silence is deafening. The silence is deafening. Almost 48 hours since the news about the impending layoffs hit the news services and yet there has been nothing in my HP email about this except for an invitation to watch... — read more

Revisiting Contracts (US and Canada)

This is ridiculous, disgusting, and unethical! My dad in Toronto was given the EXACT same offer that the Ciber folks got except it was from Adecco/Modis and he is NOT an hourly worker. So why on earth have the Ciber contracts been revisited and not... — read more

Is the ciber offer even legal?

how can a company transfer an employee to another company which is not its subsidiary. Why refusing to that offer means you forfeit your severance? When you get laid off is it not mandatory for the company to provide severance or compensation?

Bad spending priorities

I left HP Services earlier this year, partly because I was tired of watching them toss money away on pointless projects while good people were losing their jobs. There was one group in Services that reserved penthouse suites at all partner trade... — read more

Adecco Offer

Offer in. A fraction of my current psy. Can no longer afford to work here. A decade of work down the tube. What they don't know is I'm the 1st to get an offer here and all my employees know about it. They are about to see 100 refusals of these low... — read more

The Number to be laid off will be MUCH LARGER -- "The number is sadly larger than some people might have expected, but I think it's a reflection of how much trouble HP has been having with its services," said Charles King, analyst at the Silicon... — read more

Renegotiating Contracts with Ciber and Adecco

Has anyone heard anything more about HP renegotiating contracts with Ciber and Adecco employees, it was from a Business Insider article last week. Does this affect Canadian employees as well?

Some inside info from our fine HP HR ladies: We are doing this only to whip everyone back into shape out of fear for being let go....

...but there won't actually be a layoffs. Just need everyone to work hard as we enter new, high growth areas. On the enterprise side. HP knows that great talent takes a long time to build, and it'd be extremely short sighted to get rid of people and... — read more

HP Disappointed and Betrayed Me and My Colegaues

I used to work for another large global company where there also was a huge layoff, not much unlike the job cutting wave we are facing here at HP today. The CEO was like any other CEO, pretty tough and even more aggressive in language and attitude... — read more

Question for Ciber, Addeco and Modis "transfers"

Too bad HP is splitting in half.

HP was founded in one of the Palo Alto's garages. It was once one of the largest co of Silicon Valley. Unfortunatelly, it is struggling in sales and they had to make a move.

Think your job at HP is safe. I wouldn't bet on it

HP said it was moving more of its workers to lower-cost locations as part of its efforts to cut costs. In its 2013 fiscal year, the company said 36 percent of its employees in enterprise services worked in what it called low-cost locations. This year... — read more

Layoffs? What about rewards that get trimmed down more and more every year? Sucky raises, minimal bonuses? Shame on you HP.

OK, now layoffs. Thank you. After all the effort to 'save the project', 'keep the client', tons of weekends, overtime galore, now we will cut 30,000 people. For what? More bonuses for the exec line up. I joined 28 months ago from a smaller consulting... — read more
