See TheRegister for story on how cloud washing / one time cloud deals are impacting comp - will be interesting to see how investors feel about this, not hard to see reading this story that oracle cloud revenues have been artificially inflated
Don't ruin your health for unattainable goals
This really resonated with me, I thought it deserved a thread of it's on for really good advice, which I personally will be taking: The advice to do the absolute minimum while looking for another job is very good advice. I wish I had been told this 7... — read more
To middle level management, be human.
To all directors and above at Oracle, grow a set and let people know that are impacted so they can find employment. I have not seen one director let go, these sleaze seem to slime their way out of every lay off. Try being human, if you're male "don't... — read more

Have 3 job offers - hoping to be laid off.
Spoke to my boss. Didn't mention I have 3 job offers. Just told him this stress is killing me and I'm hoping he ends my suffering and just gives me the package. The severance would be very nice right now. I have also maxed out my PTO.
massive layoffs should make it to headline news.
based on Aria there is almost 900 employee in HW alone, not to mention other area that will be impacted. if the layoffs happen as expected this Thursday, I have no idea how Oracle will be under the radar this time.
