There will not be a massive layoff on Tuesday

Don't listen to the fake news on this website, the major RIF is done. Notice that the previous post about a big RIF on Tuesday gave absolutely no specifics. It is just BS from a disgruntled former employee or the competition.

Stripped of stock options?

I've seen a few references here suggesting that stock options were lost as a result of separation? I assumed that vested options are "mine" and that I'd have n days to exercise them after getting the ol heave-ho. Is that wrong? Should we all be... — read more

The calm before the storm

It's been awfully quiet the last few weeks. Is this the calm before the storm? Is June 1 judgement day? Will the next 30 to 60 days be a rollercoaster ride? Is the storm forecast to hit next week? Are those layoff rumors just fake news as MH says? Or... — read more

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/01/28/sun_amazon_cloud_dead/ This article is a real gem in hindsight. Rather than focus on the cloud effort that Sun was building out, Oracle killed it off in favor of an unsalvageable hardware business. I wonder if... — read more

The CIOs are not dumb.
