I am in Burlington, MA. I was not let go today but a lot of people I work with were. I was told not to go in b/c it is going to be sad. I don't have an exact number but I'm guessing more than 100 altogether (CA+Burlington) from SPARC hardware.

the actual termination is 2 months from today. this is the latest I heard from my coworker that just got axed. the catch is that if you find another job tomorrow, you can't work or you will lose the 2 months severance pay

Oracle's whole licensing model needs to change. They need to move to a subscription with an Enterprise and Standard Cloud and Enterprise and Standard options for on-premise. No more perpetual licenses. Do everything as a subscription.
