Any news reg layoffs in EMEA?

Most stuff I’m reading here is regarding US or APAC layoffs — anyone has info regarding EMEA region? Or are they done after the massive March cull? Asking for a friend.

Potential lay-offs in US this month?

I’m reading through these posts and preparing for lay-offs any day now. Hearing from folks who have spent so much time at the company and seem to have such higher level positions than mine, even working database and development jobs, it seems like a... — read more

Positioned for Success!

I have seen many negative comments on this site and disagree with them. The recent actions by the Oracle leadership team have positioned the company for success this fiscal year, and will catapult us back to market leadership. This is why: *... — read more

Anyone seeing any pay decreases being put in place / discussed / put in place some time ago already? I've seen a few comments in other threads over time but never saw much more info about it. Anyone able to weigh in?

OT eligible employees being told to work Flex Time

Non Lay-off post here, management is using flex time (if you work 1 hour late to support demand, then start work 1 hour late the next day), as a way to avoid paying overtime eligible employees. Every quarter end we work long hours to support Sales... — read more

AU redundancy

It’s happened in Australia (Sydney). HR scheduled meetings exactly 5 weeks before the end of Oracle Q2 (Oracle’s notice period is 5 weeks) on Tuesday of this week. Sales reps, managers, and SCs.

List of Hiring Companies

I recall a list of tech companies in the bay area that may be actively hiring now. Do you have as well a list of head hunters too?

I realize this is a naive question for an anonymous forum, but couldn't we all be a bit more kind and respectful on this forum? I've been reading through the posts today to understand what's happening, and I've been shocked with how mean... — read more

Australia Layoffs are Here.

Layoffs in Australia are coming, meetings are being scheduled with HR right now. This comes despite being advised of Oracle's global policy of zero redundancies during global times of crisis. This clearly was a lie and once again shareholders are... — read more

Try Harder

It took me about 1 year to get out of O, but I got out. After 6 years at O, working for my hero, Larry Ellison, I felt so dirty. Everything was such a scam, lying and cheating and audits. I would never do this to any of my customers, but everyone... — read more

July 1, 2020 layoffs

I called HR to ask about my term letter. First question I was asked was, "how old are you?". What???? How old I am? Why, how, and when would that matter? Am I missing something legitimate?

Should a job be this stressful?
