@yy but they were already notified so that isn't my point. last day on friday is normal as week end. My point is i don't think they will TELLING ppl on Friday, esp friday before holiday when lots of ppl are out, remote, taking half day, etc. of course there is always a first - but historically, it has never been a friday when they announce and tell ppl.
@xj talk to HR. No one is taking anyone’s jobs. If we get laid off we go back, it’s that simple. You just a lil bi-ch crying who can’t question your own HR or leadership and be tough on anonymous site. During previous layoff, many Indians were let go.
@yx I know someone over in spectrum business who was notified and their last day is September 4. They told me directly.
@wg i wouldn't be surprised if there are layoffs coming in next week or two but I question if its exactly 9/4 per orig post. Historically, they have not done layoff on a Friday, esp Friday before holiday - too many ppl remote and/or on vacation that would make it much more logistically harder. I would guess it will be this Wednesday or mid-week next week.

@OP what I got to know is lay offs can be based on late comers after 9 am in office consecutive days
Within 90 days all support teams / non field roles have to either layoff the cox people they inherit or fire their existing team and replace them with the cox team member. Can’t increase overall headcount. So def a lot more reduction coming between now and January.
