I heard the original announcement - 3 non consecutive days for cubes, 4 days in office for offices, attest to all day - is being made next week with start date of Sept 14. HR previewed the announcement for HR employees this week.

@1tf You are 100% correct!
@1tx
What are the rules for a designated desk? 3 or 4 days?
Does a designated “office” include a designated cube? Which means 4 days a week.
@OP Not seeing anything about those who occasionally work weekends. If I have to work a Sat or a Sun, I will go into the office and it better count towards my 3 days AND WFH on Fri followed by Mon should be perfectly acceptable.
Workplace Excellence Manager FAQ. Doesn't mean something to track hours isn't in the works (don't know that - just speculation).
It's just more painful policies to manage headcount downward. No one cares if the best people leave as long as the incompetent ones left behind are compliant and barely functional enough to keep the company running. It's all part of the plan and I challenge anyone in C-suit to deny it. (A) Make life miserable enough that people quit without severance, then (B) pay the fines and lawsuits that result from having mo--ns make decisions, and then if B < A, claim responsible growth and call it success. If that doesn't work out, initiate WPE re-evaluate A.
@10p Where are you seeing that monitoring of hours isn't available?
@103 Where are you seeing the 6 hours stated?
@10p Managers are subject to disciplinary action if they do not enforce the policy.
@1ab I think you are just attesting that you understand the expectations (one time at the end of the training).
@103 - Where/how do you attest?
That is the entire point, they want people to get so fed up they quit to cut headcount without paying a severance.
The only problem with that is we get stuck with the people that aren't talented enough to get jobs elsewhere. Talented people leave - even if the other companies policy is is similar why not leave for more salary?
@OP Emails were sent out today, at least to Plano Campus people, and oh my are the employees pi---d! Walking around, you hear people discussing this everywhere.
@10p where did you see this? I assume they’d just be tracking our vpns and work laptops
Does it apply only to FTE or contractors too?
@103 where do you see it is 6 hours
I am trying to understand what makes folks sitting in an office have to adhere to a different policy than folks that do not. I’ve known some people to have an office due to workplace accommodations but their job role isn’t any different than their peers that are sitting in the cubicles right down the hall. This seems almost discriminatory because someone has an alternate seat
Re: full day attendance. it says compliance reporting is not available to monitor full day attendance, and that mgrs should address issues of noncompliance based on observations. Including other managers that are colocated with your employees. So are people just going to be spying on each other? What nonsense is this?
@wc 6 hours minimum is considered a full day and they absolutely know based upon your login to the network combined with badging in, whether you do that. You will also have to "attest" that you are doing 6 hours minimum. Slave overlords in full force here.
@x0 then the laptop stays plugged in at the office on office days. Sc--w this cr-p. I’m not bringing this bank into my home on days when I’m not allowed to work from it. If it gets stolen, then perhaps the bank should hire security for their space.
Same for the phone (leash). After 5:00, Bank of America no longer exists. No more late night and weekend email responses. If the focus isn’t on profitability results, but instead micromanaging, then children shall behave as such…
@wc I think by VPN
@r5 why are these people deciding which days should we work. Shouldn't they be focused on whether the work is getting done..I have no words for being treated like this.
What if someone leaves an hour early? Is that not going to count as a full day?
@r5 wouldn’t that mean that a Monday holiday every single person at the bank would have to come in on that Friday before. How’s there space for that?
For managers with employees in other locations, how are you going to track this full day cr-p? I’m curious.
My manager just told me he and his peers were told about the wpe changes this past Thursday. We will all be trained on what a full day of work is. Can't wait (sarcastic)
Band 3 managing director in HR told me the announcement is really coming. Managers will be told tomorrow, mass email to employees on Wednesday.
@qj It's Friday Monday that are considered consecutive days. For example, if you WFH on Friday 7/31, you can't WFH on Monday 8/3. If Monday or Friday happens to be a holiday or you take benefit time, those days are considered WFH days.
@qj this is a good question. I guess we’ll find out when the training comes out. So d-mb
Question on the consecutive days requirement. I understand that Monday and Friday are considered consecutive days but is it Monday and Friday across the board or is it Monday and Friday within the same week. For example, if someone worked from home on Wednesday and Friday during week 1 and then worked from home on Monday and Wednesday during week 2, is that also considered as being consecutive days since the person worked from home on Friday during week 1 and on Monday during week 2?
@g3 AI is gonna eat OPS alive. RIP.
@j4 ask on your next all-hands LOL
can we just leave our laptops running in a drawer and stay the f outta this schlithole?
Surely this is part of their strategy to make a lot of us quit so they don't have to pay severance with Layoffs.
Cheap mo-fos. Cowards.
I have an office but technically should not, because I only have 1 person reporting to me. I wonder if I will have to work 4 days in office or give up the office.
@g9 ah ok. How do you know what your departments core locations are?
@g3 “Location strategy” started ramping up in 2019, but was interrupted by the pandemic. If you WFH and lived more than 50ish miles from a “core location”, impacted employees were given the option to move closer to a “core location” (based on LOB) or accept severance package. Sounds like the Bank is going to revisit this strategy again.
@bx what does location strategy mean? All of my team is spread out. There aren’t more than one or 2 per location. This is in Global OPS - DROM
How many hours is considered a full day
@fs yes
@fd is the part about 4 days if you have an assigned office true? Thanks.
