@59f then the Executives are extremely well paid. Can we station them in India and pay according to their standards.

@g7 well the company Pepsi is hiring to do research is a waste of money. I know at least 5 people who have left in the last year. They are all getting paid more. So maybe we aren’t that competitive.

@1mh are you in a higher cost of living market? Moderate cost? Or lower cost compared to the U.S. average?

Years know cost of living is higher in NY but that is a lot more on the Bev side. What group are you in or do you have specialized degree? (Just trying to understand if I am under paid)

@g7 I think you misunderstand what 75th percentile means. PepsiCo targets to pay in the 75th percentile - likely at the low end. But, that does not mean that all other CPG companies are making in the 100th percentile. I have over 30 years with Pep as well. I have never talked to a recruiter where the pay was higher for a similar level role.

@fb S&T salaries can be different across various locations; S&T hubs: lower in Krakow, Barcelona, much lower in India.

There is a document with compensation policy. I have it. It really depends upon your job level, but in general L7 and above is more “competitive”. Pepsi hires a third party company to do research on similar CPG companies. Every year. At most you will receive 75% of the pay for your job level at a competitive CPG company.

These are the facts.

I could elaborate on my personal experiences as I have 30 years of experience. The biggest tip is that it doesn’t matter what the quality of your work is. It’s only optics and perception. Your boss writes your review. One person who is probably a joker. If you are awesome at your job, but your boss doesn’t like you that means your career and pay are limited until you get a new boss.
