Thread regarding UKG / Ultimate Kronos Group / Ultimate Software Group Inc. layoffs

Another layoff round on the way

Not the first time this is being reported quite a pattern now going on, but another round of layoffs under planning for late September/ early October, headcount reduction across Engineering and services due to rapid off shoring of roles to India mainly Pune.

Train your replacement in India across the next few month's and hand it your laptop will be the way this works for those to be impacted in the next round of layoffs to come.

The tax amendment manager in California allows her team members to work another full time job during UKG operating hours. She is super cool.

Big layoffs happen frequently at UKG since 2024 so best thing to do is prepare yourself. This layoff will impact US employees heavily.

Expand your network. Connect with your former bosses and colleagues. Polish your resume. You are more likely to get a job through referral.

If you work remote, consider getting another job while you still have your job at UKG (some managers are cool with this). Really consider doing this if you are the sole income for your family.

Know that it may take about 6-12 month to secure another job. This job market is horrible. Save money. Delay on big purchases.

Good luck to all.

UKG partner hiring blocking ex-employees?

Anybody else who got cut running into walls trying to land at UKG partner or vendor companies?

Hearing talk that partners are stepping back or outright refusing to hire ex-UKG staff. Is UKG actively warning partners off, or is this just standard vendor non-solicit clauses being strictly enforced?

If you've gotten pushback from partner recruiters, drop what you're seeing below.

@1jr is that a fact, that Rapid Response is now just AI? Using what model or dataset? Rapid was barely hanging on two years ago when I got caught in the 2024 Fedex layoff debacle. It must be an entirely new circle of he-l for the customers now

Shift CEO and C-suite to India. Save a lot of money. How hard can it be to read from teleprompter and lead with chaos.

@1ea The support model has already been switch to AI and offshore. Rapid response is AI now. Any most tax and payroll supports are provided by people working in Pune, India and Noida, India with the help of AI applications.

@1ea well hopefully by then, it’ll be the shareholders problem. H&F will be onto the next great American company to ruin and offshore.

I can't even imagine what's going to happen when they switch over to the AI/offshore support model. Poor customers won't know what hit 'em.

Short term marginal gain for long term pain will be the impact of the next round of layoffs come October, cannot understand how India first strategy will play out when customers start to drop off with impacts on quality and delays.

Big uplift in hiring consultants & PM’s in Pune and Noida, seems like gradually they will shift majority of work to India. Keep on skeleton crews across US to pickup the mess left behind when things fall apart

Even if you’re not getting laid off, the atmosphere is miserable and everyone seems so down. Everyone is just wearing multiple hats and seems like everyone is doing their own thing with no cohesion. For the ones that are gone and reading this, you aren’t missing much. The GPTW rating for the company is down to 67%. Walking around the office and all you hear is sighing every two minutes. What happened? this place was great, I tried recruiting all my friends and previous co-workers. Now I wouldn’t even recommend to my worst enemy.

I am over trying to support these projects/customers with resources that are available 3-4 US based business hours a day. I just wish they would rip the band aid and be done. It is all very defeating.
