@325 not surprised Chevron hired this guy in at psg 40+ after what they did with LC. it is unfathomable that we hired a guy with the experience of maybe a psg 26 and made him cio. but we did it! winning

“Cloud hanging over him”. LC has had so many hotlines called on him. For a PSG 40+ pay, you take it and let that hang over you for generational wealth.
He got fired, period. It does not take forever to do an investigation. I’ve supervised people who investigated. This is as clear as can be. When you get hired by Chevron, you step down from the board of his cyber software consulting company. But Chevron f this up so bad and somehow allowed him to remain in that capacity and he gave them contract work.
And to the person who said cyber got better since he’s been here? That is laughable at best. Everybody knee deep in ADO DQ and there is massive confusing between our offshore locations. No one knows who’s on first.
@2yx Ditto, spoke to him as well. He resigned as after the hotline complaint came in, knowing the pace of CVX, that it was taking forever to starr an investigation, and he would have been forever scrutinized internally, regardless of his innocence, and he had nothing to hide. He was labelled guilty without getting the chance to be proven innocent. Someone may have been pi---d of at how he tried to implement so much change.

@2tz I spoke with him. He didn’t get fired. Whatever happened it involved an anonymous complaint which is typical for these keyboard cowboys who have no testicular fortitude and JR didnt want that cloud hanging over the team. In the year and a couple months of working for him, we got better as an organization.
Read his LinkedIn update. He got fired without saying he got fired.

EB and BK’s mishandling of CIO and CISO is just a failure of epic proportions.
Let the guy with actual cyber intelligence experience with the state department walk, and end up with LC and JR, who is now gone.
MW said at the end of SETH that the biggest thing that he is worried about is cybersecurity and the attacks that are getting more sophisticated.
Guess what, you don’t even have a CISO anymore because the best one that most companies could have employed was the guy you let walk.
JR account is still enabled in Azure so it sure he is actually gone. They would disable his account immediately if he was a threat or terminated. He’s in the GAL and visible in Teams.

Second person walked that LC brought in. First was LM who was supposed to be the data hire and lasted a month. LC has to be in the hot seat and AK is intentionally not making any friends either as part of her leadership strategy. Pretty bad to have a CISO walked. The board should now be very interested in deciding the next hire.
Magically JR is back in the address book and marked as offline and ooo. I wonder what severance they offer him to sign some NDAs and go away without making noise. Do you think he posts the same message about family priorities that he did when he left Costco? I wonder if the reasons behind the job changes were actually both ethics related.

@rz In my experience, those who are removed from the system quickly, and it sounds like this chap was, are those who have not left voluntarily.
Rumor is that he was terminated following an ethics investigation.

Maybe he learned something from the Anthropic security scan that he did not want to take the time to fix and he decided to take the parachute out of the airplane because he knew the place has too many problems.

@bh - this is/was a high psg (29 or 30) external hire in IT (hand picked by our external hire CIO) that apparently only made it a year - both from Walmart
the higher the psg, the more likely you are allowed to commute. hes not the only one. I know someone who didnt travel in during entire world cup 'because of travel prices'
