Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Anyone else seeing how bad things have gotten with the OK account?

This account is a total it-shay ow-shay. Management (especially upper mgmt) is staggeringly incompetent and would rather play at power dynamics and cry wolf when things don't go their way even after slave driving the ever shrinking number of experienced technical staff... as if we know what "their way" is to begin with. Then you have the customer also not knowing what they want or what they're doing while experience and talent walk out the door.

The OK AG has launched an investigation into OHCA due to severe fraud occurring for multiple years at this point that abuses the Open Enrollment process. Given what I've seen with Gainwell, I'm not surprised that this has happened. It probably goes even deeper than the AG's initial probe.

Gainwell just might have to pay the piper and lose another contract. If anyone else has additional insight, I'm very curious to know how dire things are.

Every implementation I've been on has been a sh-t show. It seems that just how Gainwell does things.

@14b Hahaha. You have resorted to the lowest form of argument retort.

I have noticed that people at Gainwell that defend the company are not able to find a another job. So they become part of the machine and blame others like the state for Gainwell’s problems and inability to be able to deliver.

Gainwell is circling the drain.

States are inept. People who wash out from companies like Gainwell and Accenture end up working for the government.

@12t Agree.

More evidence that Gainwell is inept. They are not capable of doing this type of work.

@z3 Definitely a Gainwell issue.

@z3 How is it an Oklahoma problem, and not a Gainwell problem? The state hired Gainwell to flag fraud, and here we have a fraudulent enrollment scheme being conducted by offshore groups? Isn't that one of Gainwell's duties, to prevent these things?

Please explain.

Sounds more like an OK State problem then a GW issue.

@OP Oklahoma's attorney general has opened an investigation into "handling of alleged fraud, waste and abuse within the state's Medicaid managed care program. This new investigation follows recent revelations that OHCA leadership failed to report a large-scale, foreign-based enrollment fraud scheme," the attorney general's office announced.

Has anybody been served a subpoena yet?

This is old news. Gainwell has botched every account they have. They will continue to lose more business than they bring in.

It’s all downhill from here.

Decades old complacency plus the accumulation of tremendous technical debt lead to a lot of issues. Who hires these CDL people anyway? It's getting messier every day.

Yikes! No current insights, but OK used to be a decent account pre-COVID. Gainwell must have happened.....
