Thread regarding CDW layoffs

C-

CDW used to be an A+ company. It valued its people and understood that its success came from experienced employess w/strong ties to customers... Now, the focus has shifted from people to $$$s. Employees feel replaceable, like #s, no longer valued. Old culture made us great but now is gone. If you've been around long enough you understand what I am saying.

Glad CDW laid me off 3 years ago! Disheartening at first back then - but now so glad it happened!

@23s
Sounds like actions that fudiciaries of a publicly traded company usually get class action lawsuits for.

Is this data in the earnings reports? Whistle-blowers?

Was he forced or compelled in order to get more in his retirement package?

Wow! Didn't realize how bad things actually are!!

@23b Manipulating the numbers and gets to leave on a high note.
#1 Hid the really really bad Cash from Operations with inventory financing then buried it shifting time periods and non-GAAP summaries
#2 The change in reporting to all be Commercial with no recasting of prior periods hid the decline in SMB
#3 For a "services-led IT partner", sure buried that number and tried not to even think about it

Crazy that PC CONNECTION is overall doing better at this point. And their HQ is a cr-ppy old shopping mall!

Maybe he'll enjoy retirement like Tom Richard's.

Our current C level is basically looting and pillaging the company at the expense of coworkers and customers.

@22t must be nice to tank the stock as a CFO and walk away with a golden parachute. This site spends too little time calling the CFO out for his BS. He’s as responsible as CL for the issues CDW has seen. Multiple, frequent layoffs didn’t start until after he was hired.

@22t
Lol...better than nothing but they all need to go/be replaced.

Leahy thinks selling some gpu's means she's a VIP in the Ai space

Shares were down premarket close to 25%. The two biggest single day declines that I've seen have been under our fearless attorney.

@1tt I see your ask but the best I can do is a CFO

Barely could sell services before and now it'll be worse since there's less staffing.
I'd pitch services and engineers and then it'd take 2 weeks to a month to actually start engagement.

Customers liked the engineer and outcome but not the initial process to get things going as well as costs.

My director was an F

I couldn't give him an F- because the guy was non-existent. Interjected once or twice a year with management to push the agenda from above or to "check-in" and other than that...was just a name that appeared/was copied on manager emails.

I'd blame his physically deformed hand but that's just a reflection of his internal ugly aura.

Seems like some people don't just have physical deformities as the mental deformities are on full display.

Decreasing pay and too many internal distractions so I'm actively searching for a new role. Middle management are a bunch of gaslighting sellouts that neither care for thier employees or customers.

The current culture is all about the numbers, pushing services with senior resources and assigning junior techs. This didn’t work for General Motors and won’t work for the long hall. The org that Tom built is long gone.

This is the time Chris could replace with quality candidates those sr managers and bad actors who show persistent disregard for others’ rights, lack of remorse, deceitfulness, aggression, and chronic rule‑breaking, these behaviors typically began with conduct disorder before age 15. They will never change

One time a few years ago when things started to shift, I had a manager refer to my entire team as COGS. Yeah, it’s a business term, but you can read between the lines. These people just view you as output machines.

Everyone’s replaceable. This place needs to get some discipline.

It's ok... we have an SVP posting on LinkedIn about her canceled flight and how she overcame and triumphed despite the adversity.
How brave and courageous.

With leaders like that...we will turn things around as they lead the charge.
Just like Leahy won and kept all the money in her divorce.

The leaders below the top tier are also all-stars... just have Directors join sales calls to add value so we can charge higher margins.

CDW has the best directors as they employ people despite mangled limbs or minds. The company truly shows they don't discriminate.

That's what happens when you have a CEO that previously a Lawyer (General Counsel) for CDW. She knows jack cr-p about the business/industry and real transformation.

The surveys need to be reworded to catch the policy violators so that rumor control isn't skewing the facts. For example asking who on your team is the a&&h013? Which authority figures bring too much authenticity and too little professionalism and generally is causing more harm than good?

I liken it to a house I used to live in and now a squatter came in, took it over and it's no longer recognizable. The house still looks the same on the outside, but the family feeling is dead on the inside. It really used to be a truly amazing place to work.
