Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Aug Layoffs

With every region in NAL losing money and LTF being down layoffs are coming this month. The writing is on the wall at this point, but which PSL’s or areas are going to be hit worse?

@2ww This is inaccurate but I wish it was not. In my team, they let go of 1 contractor vs 3 ft employees.

@301 I was planning to buy a cyber truck with full cash. Now I may have to lease it instead.

@1kg

Contractors and freelancers: External workers and agency staff are almost always cut before full-time employees because they require no severance and terminate easily…..

Every single fu--ing year is the same sh-t… waiting to be another unemployed on the list.

Hate this Sh-t

It’s coming from what I have heard, list of names has been finalized and submitted for approval by legal. Layoffs will probably start the last week of August.

@hy Wrong, it's a bunch of departments switching to new online programs from SAP. Been in the works since last year at minimum, nothing new. The "blackout" is just the switch over period from the old to new system.

@10j Clear the clowns in management and let's see what the new CEO brings to the table. Pay should be in line with stock performance. If stock isn't moving then no pay. You look at CEO pay and stock performance

@vs
A clean slate would mean laying off management not low level workers which is what will happen so there will be no clean slate

Guys I just heard Jeff miller is getting replaced by Shannon cause of retirement. I think layoffs coming soon to give the new ceo a clean slate

@dm from what we’ve been told they’re only changing stuff for scanning for warehouses and material handling. Supposed to go thru a “blackout” don’t know if it’s going to be months or weeks bc nobody will tell us
