This is more or less just to vent, but I’m tired of the “do more with less” attitude here. I know I’m not the only one whose team has been expected to take on more work with less resources, make sense of vague information from leadership, all with no title changes or pay increases.
I’m categorized as a “high performer”, but I’m burning out and losing my will to care. I’m actively looking for a new job, but it’s a struggle to look for something on top of my workload. I don’t know if anyone else feels the same.

@4ak What department? IT? How many others? So sorry - I was "restructured" out a while ago. Still no job. Offshored to be exact. The function was still needed, but they decided to toss quality out the window. We did our best to train these people. They are in no way "high performers". They only wanted steps handed to them....no desire to understand the steps. No initiative on their part to learn. Low skilled/low pay people treating the job like a McDonalds job. We all spent time upskilling and working off hours. Apparently they have to have an agreement with their body shop to do that. Unless prior agreement was made, after hour calls won't be answered. At some point the results of all of this will show to the outside/clients.
@4ak Wow, so sorry to hear that. Which part of the business do/did you work? Hope you are doing ok...
@4ak was this today?
High performer here - told on track at mid-year and now told my services no longer required just as they're looking at bonus pool. The old 'team restructure' story. No idea how many folks are impacted in my team. Also what's happening with the USI business? Hearing that's down the pan too.
I feel exactly the same way. Also a high performer, also completely burned out. My team was drastically reduced at the beginning of this year, yet work keeps growing and growing, and AI can only help on the margins. My work-life balance is in the garbage, and I don’t make nearly enough when you consider the evening and weekend hours I constantly work. I am also actively looking for a new job.
I hear you. When a group gets canned by this place (July 31 is another batch, unfortunately) the people left behind also suffer. We saw it when we lost the Help Desk, Service Desk, etc. If you have to interface with IT you will have to deal with non-English speakers who are difficult to understand and even more difficult to have to explain what needs to be done as prior Associates would not require so much prompting. Then there is the day to day reality of paying bills, educating your kids, and wondering if you should buy that new car given you never know when you will be sent to a "Transition Meeting". Even though y'all still have a paycheck coming in, it is still rough. I saw some courses in Degreed about this Next 90 stuff, but somehow I doubt it will ease anyone's fears. Layoffs always su-k, but for 3 years they have become a regular way of life - a game of musical chairs and no matter how hard you work you never know when it is your turn to lose your seat. Use the training resources offered to you is you can and get resumes out there. Good luck.
curious, what dept? so many diff depts there, that some seem content, others miserable.
@OP I feel that. this week more than ever.
