Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Stop being the ideal worker

So many folks at Nike don't complain, don't cause trouble, just do their work consistently and on time, and they get rewarded by being buried in even more work. Management sees your quiet competence as capacity for more. I speak from experience. Since I started complaining and saying no to more work, my life has improved significantly.

Nike doesn’t actually care about YOU. If you left today they would just find someone to replace you and your co workers would likely forget that you existed. Just do the bare minimum because you are only defined as the number on your badge and whether your manager “likes” you. Just don’t do it (more than the minimum).

@OP

Any bootlicker too dimwitted to set boundaries deserves their fate.

Put in just enough hours to get the job done. No more, no less. When the timer ticks at the end of the work day, just stop and go back to life. It's a job. It will be there tomorrow. Just do enough to not get fired and realize its just for the paycheck. If the pay check doesn't go up or down, just do enough to keep it coming and not more, no less.

Take your lunch break. Use every minute of it and no less.

Rinse, repeat, until they lay you off or you quit for something better.
