@av if only you understood caste. Probably best you don’t. But usually it’s not by caste - people are usually not smart enough to pull off at a job by caste. It’s more by language, origin area than caste.

its very common in CISCO..most incompetent who will not have a junior BA role , get promoted to director ( all if you are aligned with specific indian caste and region ). it has been always that way.
