Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

“I was there.”

Average hours report is broken and they apparently can’t fix it.

So enjoy WFH for the rest of August. If anyone asks why you weren’t in the office, just point to the inaccurate report.

All you need to say is “I was there.”

Can’t argue with the bad data when they’ve already admitted it’s bad.

Funny how we’re expected to trust these reports when they want to enforce RTO or terminate headcount, but when the report doesn’t work, suddenly nobody can figure out how to fix it.

5x RTO: powered by a spreadsheet that doesn’t know where anyone was. Pure genius!

I talked to someone with a bad presence report that got flagged and meeting recordings showing them in office is probably the only thing that saved them. I would not follow this advice.

I stopped going in around April. Nobody says anything. As long as you su-kers go in everyday and keep the average hours up nobody will look into it or question me. Thank you for your hard work!

A number of supplemental metrics are used in addition to the presence report. Be at the right time at the right location during core hours and there is never a need to worry,

Wait…..you’re still going in?

Why? And how long have you been doing that?

Stop it. No knows if you do or don’t.

It’s ALL part of the mind trick games to encourage people to quit.
How far can you tighten that bolt.

@OP I wonder if the folks who built/maintained that report got caught up in a layoff, and now "leadership" has no one left who knows anything about it?

No, wait.... AI will save the day!!!

Sue them, and demand security footage showing that you were in fact, there in person on the days when you said you were.

If they're micromanaging when it comes to badging, they sure as fu*k are doing the same with camera footage of the office building and its surrounding environs. You could probably utilize Flock camera footage for bolstering your lawsuit as well! Put those Orwellian eyes in the skies to good use!

@a2 reference the note on the “news and alerts” tab which states the system issue and resulting bad data. Because they can’t fix it, the entire month of August is now moot. I’ll enjoy the break.

@a2 I went in for a full week and got zero credit. It’s already off so what’s your point? They should be explaining to me why it’s so wildly inaccurate.

So is this the “market based” talent that he so desires? An organization/individuals that cannot produce a consistently accurate report… a report that is used as a compliance resource, whereas you are assumed guilty until proven innocent.

Yeah, but your boss will ask and you have to explain to them why your report is off, like you were doing something wrong. Been there done that.
