Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Cult Meeting in Vegas!

I couldn’t be more queasy about that whole boondoggle circus in Vegas — dragging out the new execs like show ponies, trotting them around in some desperate song‑and‑dance routine for clients, flogging “new products” that any serious person would laugh out of the room. Absolutely stomach‑turning watching those mercenaries Mike and Takis hauled in strut about like they’re the future of the company, when half of them will be gone before the dust settles, leaving the wreckage behind like it’s someone else’s problem.

And honestly, the LinkedIn boot‑licking from the SVPs is even worse. Reposting every blurry moment from Forum like it’s some historic global summit, all just to kiss MC backsides and prove their undying loyalty. Pathetic, the lot of them — parroting whatever the latest corporate catchphrase is. “Double‑click on this,” “finish the swing,” all that drivel. It’s like they hop online every Monday to see what the biggest su-k‑ups are saying so they can copy it word for word. Watching from a distance and having a good laugh. Have some self‑respect, for crying out loud.

And you ever notice who these people are? Divorced, middle‑aged blokes and women, or married but outsourcing the raising of their kids — yet they never forget to post that one annual holiday photo with the children to pretend everything’s normal. What a life.

Let’s not even start on how much this Vegas stunt cost. I’m sure it’ll have the same impact as Investor Day and that Town Hall where Takis bragged about going to the NBA Finals the night before — as if he could pick a basketball out of a pile of sports gear.

@ay you are a FiServant just like the rest of us. And while some on here choose to cope differently than you, the real difference lays in that most of us don't prefer to wake up in the morning to the taste of boots.

Watch the Enron documentary on Netflix and you will hear the same rah..rah..BS corporate speak coming from their execs just before the collapse. Investors cutting risk is not a good. This company continues to repeat the same desperate behaviors as Enron and all the other failed companies. Let’s see what the investor lawsuits bring from a civil standpoint because what follows usually are criminal charges if they are successful.

@eg keep up the good fight cosplaying the rebel resistance online. until you go into the office, when you’ll smile weakly and do what you’re told at the company you hate by people you’re so much smarter than.

@bp "Just leave" is a lame response only a weak, cowardly bootlicker would utter. Bootlickers are losers with no friends, family of life outside of work.

@bp I always hate this "just leave" excuse for a cr-ppy company treating its employees and clients poorly. Company should try to make some effort to do better. But sure leave, easier said than done.

@ay so leave? It’s such a moral wasteland you hate, stop disrespecting yourself and quit. You’re not helpless. Find something else that’s better. Anything’s better than showing up for a job you hate, being fake all day long to keep it and then dumping your guts out here about how d-mb these people are and how awful a company it is.

But here’s the thing. All this whining, complaining, helplessness - that’s who you are in real life too. And that’s why you’re not going anywhere.

And that's the beauty of it all. There's not a single thing the employees can do to change this type of culture and toxicity. Its rooted in Fiserv's legacy and DNA. Its in their leaders, and all the incompetent SVP's who push it all down to the employees because of their own self interest. But its also rooted in bootlickers like @an telling others to "be the change they want to see" as if that will truly change anything at Fiserv.

The point of @OP's post (at least what I got from it) is the fact that Fiserv is so out of touch with its own reality that putting on a Forum like this is strictly for show. Stock is tanking, two CEO swaps, still can't recover from FrankieBoy's tyranny, etc but hey lets have a party to showcase all of our "innovations" lmao.

Historically speaking after every Forum there are always layoffs. After the free drinks and hangover subside it's back to sharpening the axe for the sake of "shareholder value" and the Forum acts as a way to justify those cuts.

You guys alright?

Yes, it’s a big conference and people post about it on LinkedIn. Normal stuff that other companies do. You might not like the event, or you don’t like these these people, or you think they’re bad leaders, but talking about their spouses in other posts and attacking them personally, it says a lot more about how unhappy you are. It’s more cringe than a rah rah post on LinkedIn.

If this is such an awful place full of id--tic and terrible dressed people, look in the mirror and ask yourself what you can do about it. Or at least make a difference for your own happiness by stepping away from the keyboard. Get some sunshine, take a break and find something good.

You don’t want a toxic workplace? Stop contributing to it.
