Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

I Know You All Have This Person

I know every team has that one person who somehow helped ruin WPE for everybody.

So instead of actually dealing with that person, we changed the rules for everyone and just collectively took it up the a-s.

And the funniest part? That person is still gonna find a way around the new rules.

They’ll come in at 11, walk around talking for 30 minutes, complain about being there, make sure enough people saw them, then disappear and somehow still count it as compliance.

Why didn’t we just create a way to report the actual problem employee and handle it directly?

Because now everybody gets punished, productivity gets disrupted, morale gets worse…

…and Captain Loophole is still doing exactly what Captain Loophole does. 😂

Keep doing as your doing just hit the 3 day requirement.. I bet if you keep doing this you won't show up on any reports.

Im betting they won't come after you this year to the end if you hit your 3 days.

@xz

Using an access badge that doesn't belong to you would result in immediate termination for both parties involved.

Get creative. If you don't want to go to the office then find the one person on your team that enjoys going in 5 days a week. Hand them your badges and let them swipe all of them at once.

I never said this was a good idea. Maybe it's worth a try?

What I have noticed in the past several years is that the ones that have made a way for themselves to not be in the office were mostly weirdos and loonies anyway.

We have lots of "this person". They all get away with mu---r with what they do. Since they are too cowardly to deal with these abusers, management makes it easy on themselves and punishishes everyone else.

No single person is ruining this for anyone. Some people still don’t get it. They want attrition and they want to gradually move all of us back to five days in the office. Implementing additional controls over the WPE mandate is just another step towards that goal. If they wanted to punish one person here and there, they easily could. Open your eyes people.

@OP What if a person is the one doing all the heavy lifting for the team — would you still care if he’s coffee‑badging?

Whispers ...they were going to change the rules away. Coffee bagging or not. Remember the whole 3-2 flex was really about slowing down the spread of covid in the workplace it was never really about employee flexibility. The average time for symptoms to show is about 3 to 5 days.

@as Do we know for sure that they have such a process?

The bank has a process in place to ID coffee badgers, time slackers, people who just dont come in (ever), etc. Its not that hard.

Now you have a list.

HR, What are you going to do with it?

Tired of hearing and talking about it.

NEW Topic please.

They aren’t doing this because of coffee badgers. They’re doing this because of real estate and because they want attrition.
