I am hearing about folks getting meeting invites today and marked as private. RIF discussions may be starting today.....

@g6 which teams??
@b1 the whole Medicare sales team was called into a meeting today to inform us roles are eliminated. Friday is our last day 8/14 this was at 1pm central time today
@e4 same justed celebrated 7 yrs. Told me my job is being eliminated. No my job isn't being eliminated because you will fill it with someone else. I am being eliminated. Like you I was very upset....they called me on the phone while I am on PTO....UM
I got the teams mtg invite yesterday. My director literally read from a script that my position has been eliminated. I immediately started bawling, I could not hold it back. I just celebrated seven years with the company June 2026. Still in shock and can’t remember anything she said about severance. I’m devastated. Medicaid CM
@b1 If you have a check-in next week and you dont have anything scheduled last minute the next couple days then you are safe. They wont do whole team. They will do individual meetings if you are RIF
@b3 I checked, no email or meeting.
@b4 ty!
Happy Anniversary!
How could you possibly stand the suspense, to not even log in to see, until Wednesday?!
I'd be too curious to know.
Just to lurk and read, but I definitely wouldn't be responding to anything 'til W.
@b0 That about sums it up! The most ridiculous thing to be dealing with which makes NO SENSE! I would happily leave now for someone who really needs their job more to stay!
Our team "check-in" is next week. Is there any chance they are doing a whole team RIF, or would this likely be a restructuring?
@ay so some employees who actually wanted to leave and took VSP have a later separation date than those who chose to decline VSP and stay? Is that what i am understanding? So ridiculous
@aq HR was not invited to mine
quality improvement, specialists and proj managers, entire team laid off. People leader had OOO blocked all morning and the VP joined on the call to share the news. 9/4 separation.
@as Kudos to your PL for letting everyone know!
@as was the meeting all together or individual
what state and departments started
@ak what are they giving
my team just had a last-minute meeting with our PL - one person from my team has been eliminated and the rest of us are safe…
@aq the invitations just come from Skip levels. HR might be blind invited
Is HR being involved in these layoff meetings or are they just skip level?
@ak what was the offer?
@ak are they giving anything at all?
@aj they just did on another thread I just read. An entire team was laid off on the Medicaid side 💔😭😔
@ac It changed. They are not giving 2 weeks per year.
@a7 This could be re-org related, they are not going to let a whole team go at once like that on a call.
I don't work until Wednesday,so this is ki-ling me. I'm so tempted to log on to read my email. Today is my 11th year anniversary.
@aa oh no 😔 what role or dept are y'all in?
@ae what’s it called, who all is on it etc.
I have a random meeting at 11.
How are y’all dealing with this anxiety? I feel like I’m refreshing my inbox every three minutes. Doesn’t help my PL is on vacay this entire week. This is the worst feeling ever.
@a7 unless this changed from my last time in 2020 it was two weeks for every year up to a cap of 6 months. 3 months outplacement assistance. Not sure about the subsidized cobra. Looking at my VSP offer. It looks roughly the same without the extra perks.
So what happens if our manager just conveniently calls out of office today and tomorrow 8/11? What are the chances they already know and teams under her are affected? Or just certain their team is not affected?
My co-worker was just told her position has been eliminated. Her last day is Sept 4
@a8 Your Manager's manager
@a1 What is a skip level boss?
@a5 BTS
It is what it is. I stopped growing in the role years ago and frankly have been dead inside for a while. I've been applying sporadically outside of here for years.
They're breaking up with me before I could break up with them. Hopefully the severance comes within a stone's throw of the VSP offer.
@a3 It will all work out....sometimes works out even better!
@a1 Can you share what area you work in?
Got mine thrown on for this afternoon.
