My whole team in Europe is on PIP...

We were put on a PIP after being classified as low performers. There are about 15 of us, and we don’t know why we’ve all been put on it together. We assume the idea is to fire us afterward, since we haven’t been given any further information other than being told to meet the PIP objectives. However, we’ve been hearing rumors that we’re going to be fired in a month.

Would help us all if you can share your role or title or group etc. Sales. IT. Cloud. Support. Finance etc. Your only job now is to find a job outside IBM. You are cooked at IBM. They do not want you and are so cheap they will not give your severance and use the PIP as a way to force you out at the lowest cost.

@a1

"...so ready to leave" should definitely include your having a new job lined up, with a start date no further out than January 2027.

If they're getting all of their ducks in a row to ace you out by the end of November, then be sure to focus most of your current "work energy" on securing a new job for yourself between now and then. The timing could be good if they give you the boot at that point, because you could just kick back and enjoy a solid block of weeks leading up to and during the holidays, while knowing you have a new gig lined up for the new year.

But to be slacking now on the job hunt, and then scrambling during the holidays looking for work? And then still not having any income, starting off a new year with no job? Nah. Not good.

We're almost into September..."make hay while the sun shines."

My PIP lasts until mid. November with objectives and results to be completed gradually during this period. Honestly - I am so ready to leave.
