I’m in the US and new at PayPal. What is the process followed by HR? Does the person affected being laid off get the meeting invite? How does the rest of the team or manager find out who has been let go from their team?

@a3 That concept doesn't exist in the US. You get severance based on tenure.

@OP sorry you joined this company and from the stress. If you’re impacted you will get a meeting invite about one hour prior to its start. It will be over Teams. Your camera and audio will be muted. Someone from the business and hr will be there. They will instruct you. There is no formal goodbye to your ma no Sher or your team. You can do that on LinkedIn though.Goid luck.
